While the staff is friendly, the "refurbished" room is quite limited. I do not know what the room used to look like, but even with a WotIf special rate, this room is overpriced. The spa looks amazing in the photo, yet I have had bathtubs that were bigger. It is very shallow, and unless you enjoy sitting up with your legs folded, it is hardly romantic.

Stayed there twice over a 5 day period. First stay the air con wasn’t working. Beds were terrible. Second stay the air con was faulty again and beds were also terrible.

The room was ideal and a good size for a family of 4. We didn’t realise that the only parking available was in the main street of Kilbirnie where it is located. It was a bit noisey at night from the extractor fans from the bar’s kitchen below right outside our window. Apart from that, it all went smoothly. Thanks

The property was spacious, warm and had everything I needed. I was grateful that the manager who communicated w me about how to get in, etc, came around v promptly when I struggled to get the key to open the door. It would have been helpful to let me know before I arrived which key to use, as I arrived late after a very delayed flight and felt v anxious when I couldn't get in. It is only by chance that I received instructions at because they came in the day of travel and were sent to my husband, Jim, who booked on my behalf. Because the bathroom is small, some more flat top, eg a dresser in the bedroom with a mirror over it, would mean that my husband and I could both function efficiently together in the space should we come again and be sharing it (rather than just me on my own). The convenience of the location, price, cleanliness, utilities all excellent. A nice hot shower and a comfortable bed. More bedding in the cupboard would be nice, as I was a bit cold first night before space had chance to warm up. Likewise a couple of rugs on the floor, esp one in the bedroom, would help the space to feel warmer.

The bed was comfortable - everything was as it should be.
