The manager Mateo is rude and not very nice. No explanation and when you confront him a problem he argues with you and denies any issues. Definitely not 3 star. One little soap and nothing else . Stayed ina three star near Vatican for less and a LOT More friendly, helpful and lots of amenities.

Much happier the second time around on this hotel. Shower inside the bathroom instead of the other side of the room, and a larger room. Staff was equally delightful both times!

Staff was great and the room is nice, but the shower is not part of the bathroom and that was very odd. They were actually on opposite sides of the room. Great location one block from St. Peter’s Square and the Basilica and easy access to restaurants and taxis. Also, comfortable walking distance to Tresevere and many of the other major sites like the Forum, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, etc..

This place is the perfect location to explore Rome. My husband and I walked literally everywhere because this place is in walking distance of everything we wanted to do. Just a couple of minutes walk from Vatican City, we went to St Peter’s Square multiple times for all the Christmas festivities. The staff are super kind, professional, helpful. We had great breakfasts that they bring to the room. It was quite just street noise, not the fault of the hotel. This hotel feels more intimate than a regular US hotel. It feels like you’re entering an apartment building, with a small elevator but huge stairways that are beautiful in their own right. Room was roomy with a nice balcony. We sat outside in the sun, drank Italian wine, and wished the elderly lady across the street Buon Natale. She initiated the contact by waving and smiling at us, so of course we responded in kind! It was a great stay with kind people surrounding us.

The headboard was so dusty that you could easily write on it. When I pointed it out to the receptionist, she simply mentioned that there was no housekeeping service. At first, the receptionist charged an extra €300 to my credit card but later adjusted it. The decorative curtain was hanging loosely off the hook and was not repaired before I left. The hand soap dispenser was empty as well.

Close proximity to Vatican City with McDonald just beside the hotel building. Everything is great except the old lift, which takes only 2 pax with 2 luggage’s and there are a few steps from the building door to lift landing, so you have to carry the luggages.

Hotels.com reports the place as having soundproofed rooms - this was not the case. The room’s soaker tub’s water temperature was not easy to control. The room’s safe was not in working condition and I had to ask for a key to use it.

I waited a long time to write this review. I wanted to make sure that we didn’t overlook a mistake, or jump to any conclusions. Now, however, it’s been about 4 months since our trip, so I have to write this. We very much enjoyed this hotel, as far as the property. Very nice place. Nice rooms, and great location! Had a great experience our first full day there. Got to meet the Pope! Quite awesome to us! Unfortunately, when we returned to the hotel, we walked in as the maid was cleaning the room. We thought it odd that she had a very strange look on her face…it was still morning time, as we had gotten in line for the papal audience quite early. We wanted to take a nap. This girl, however, quite obviously, was uncomfortable and did not want to leave. Subsequently, my wife discovered that some of her cosmetics were missing. These were fairly expensive items. Unlikely, perhaps, but we waited this long to write a review just in case we had misplaced them. We didn’t. We raised our concern to management, who immediately dismissed our concern. After our departure, I discovered that I had left a ring behind in the room. Again, I called back, and was assured that they would check. I’ve heard nothing. I can’t prove any theft…so I’m not accusing. I loved the location. But have to say that if I stayed here again, all of my belongings would be locked up, and I would have a couple of concealed cameras in the room.

Best location in Vatican city if you want to visit the Vatican museum, St. Peter’s square, castel Sant’Angelo, etc. room service for Breakfast, super friendly and helpful staff. If I come back soon definitely booking it again.
