The location of this hotel is superb. We had views out our window of the Largo di Torre Argentina - Roman ruins of the location where Julius Caesar was killed (!) The area was great, too - tons of good restaurants, super convenient to everything, highly walkable, with buses and trams nearby, and a taxi stand just outside the hotel doors. The room was clean and nice and the bathroom was spacious compared to other places we stayed in Italy. I'd definitely recommend this hotel, with two caveats - First, I didn't realize until we got there that it does not really have a front desk. It is staffed only during certain hours. I'm not sure if this was stated somewhere and I missed it, or if it was more deliberately left out, but I was under the impression that it was a more traditional hotel. Second, while there our toilet stopped working. It wouldn't stop flushing, which led to some small amount of flooding in the bathroom, and then stopped flushing entirely. Which unfortunately happened at night, when no staff were around. To their credit, I messaged them on Whatsapp and somebody came first thing the next morning to fix it. But we were left without a functioning toilet overnight, as there was no front desk to immediately deal with it, and the place is very small, so there were no open rooms for us to move to. This was not the worst bathroom we had in our stay in Italy, however, which kind of comes with the territory, and the hotel was otherwise great for our purposes.

Brilliant room in great location!

Absolutely great location for a great little set of rooms. Communication from the team was fantastic prior to arrival when they arranged transport from the airport. Room was good size with a very comfortable bed and amazing views outside. 15-20 mins walk from major attractions in Rome. 5 minutes from pantheon and 10 from Trevi fountains. Great little hotel. will be back.

The best part of the property was the incredibly friendly staff. However, the building itself felt quite old and was very noisy, with sounds coming from both other rooms and outside. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t return in the future.

There is no mention in the property details that it is unsuitable for people with limited mobility. You need to climb a stone staircase with only a partial handrail to get to the lift. Our room (no 5) had a square platform in one corner, so that you had to step up and back down to get to the bed and sofa! Not easy to remember during the night when you need the bathroom, which is the oy The location is on a very busy square with traffic noise all night, so we didn't sleep very well. I splashed water on the bathroom floor and wiped it up with toilet paper, the tissue was filthy afterwards! The staff are very friendly and helpful with advice on the places to visit and transport. The breakfast was nice, cereal, yoghurt, eggs, toast, different flavour croissants, cake and tea, coffee and fruit juice. I would have given this hotel only 2 stars, but the staff deserve 3 stars.

Great Area - No Hot Water and Warm

Well it was nice and clean and relatively quiet. The staff was very friendly and no complaints there. The location was amazing it’s in the center of everything, has no trouble reaching any destination within a 20 minute walk! Two bad points - the hot water was virtually non existent in the shower. Taking a cold shower with the water turned all the way to hot was a total bummer. Also with the water all the way on hot it was a little trickle. The other negative was the AC - air conditioning. No matter what the setting it willl only go down to 23 - almost 76 degrees. It made for a quiet uncomfortable sleep, unless you like it warm while sleeping. This was in room number 1, maybe the other rooms are different. I’d definitely stay in this area again but likely at a more expensive property if I were looking since I’m assuming the price was related to hot water and warm air conditioning.
