The setting for this Hotel is fantastic with lovely courtyards and comfortable rooms. All the staff we met, from the reception staff, the breakfast and bar staff and the cleaners were friendly, kind, attentive and clearly enjoyed their work. The breakfast was lovely, particularly the bread and croissants and eating outside in the courtyard was a lovely start to the day. Highly recommend this Hotel as a base for exploring all Rome has to offer.

Hotel Santa Maria is a great place to stay in Rome. The location is great, with so many restaurants close by, and also walkable to most tourist attractions. There is a very nice patio where you can have a great breakfast under the shade of orange trees. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

This is such a cute little hotel! Very picturesque and quaint. It is small (at least the room we were in) but it felt very authentic! Such great staff who make you feel welcome! Would highly recommend!

Lovely stay at an amazing place

Our stay at Hotel Santa Maria was absolutely delightful! The staff made us feel like family, and the cozy, charming vibe of the hotel was the perfect retreat. The breakfast was wonderful, and being so close to amazing food and historic sites was a big plus. We were truly well taken care of and can’t recommend it enough!

Lovely stay in Trastevere

Amazing stay in Trastevere. They helped arrange a driver from the airport and gave us our first cappuccino and juice for the kids upon arrival, along with some pastry. The breakfast and aperitivo were lovely and we enjoyed the quiet courtyard very much. The room was wonderful and ac worked well. We loved it so much we booked our last night before our departure there, as well. Thanks so much to the staff for a lovely stay!

PERFECT Location!! Quiet but Close to sooo many things but if you need to the other side of Rome, the property is only a couple of minutes walk to the taxi stand - We recommend only using the taxis that have iT on the side … just trust me Beyond AMAZING staff!! They were very accommodating and kind. Nothing but positive things to say. (When employees have worked there for over 14 years, it really speaks volumes in the service industry.) Bonuses: Breakfast, Happy Hour (evening snacks), Free Bicycles, Daily Housekeeping, Ice 😁, Transfer Setups, Beautiful Grounds, Wifi, Bartenders are artists!

The property was so charming and homey. The staff was absolutely amazing and they made us feel like family. From giving us directions, recommendations on good food and even making sure our transportation to our ship was on time and picked us up at the hotel, professional was top notch but protective like family Even when we arrived early, they made sure we were comfortable until our room was ready. From the owner, to the manager to the culinary staff, our comfort was their first priority. I am returning next year with my family. The hotel santa maria, 5 stars is not enough for how great the place is. Right in the heart of the Trastevere area but provides a tranquil and quiet retreat until you are ready to venture out. The courtyard is lovely, and the staff are really helpful. This is a stay we will treasure and will definitely go back to the next time in Rome.

Hotel Santa Maria is an excellent property to stay in Trastevere. All tourist attractions are with 30 minutes walk with lots of dining options from outside the facility. Great place to walk around in and very safe. The staff is very friendly and treats you like family not as a guest. Will definitely go back to Hotel Santa Maria. Don't let the graffiti in the neighborhood fool you...it is in a great location where there are lots of places to dine as soon as you walk out. The rooms are clean and bigger than usual. If you like to walk and stay away from the touristy spots, this is the place to stay. DON'T LOOK ANY FURTHER...BOOK THIS PLACE!!

A little oasis in the middle of bustling Trastevere neighborhood in Rome!! I couldnt believe how quiet it was- the perfect place to rest up after a long flight!! The grounds are inviting & beautiful. Absolutely wonderful

This hotel is a little gem in Rome! It’s the perfect location to walk to all the main attractions. The room we had for 3 people was extremely spacious, clean and comfortable. The outdoor courtyard was beautiful and the staff were all very friendly. The breakfast was also very good. The staff were also helpful in arranging transfers as well as recommending restaurants. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Rome again.

I’m so glad we found this lovely hotel with the gorgeous oasis of a courtyard. The staff were so welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay fabulous. Location is great and I loved walking among the cobblestone streets and exploring the area.
