I gave one star as the host was very nice and the home was beautiful and very clean. I was not prepared for a communal bathroom that is shared by 4 bedrooms, which opened into the communal sitting area. We could hear everything said in the ajoining room, and there was a compressor in our closet that kicked on every time water was used. Other guests were up at 4:30 for fishing and the compressor kicked on and off constantly for 30 minutes. I heard the guests go down the stairs, have a conversation with the host, and then leave. This would definitely not be a setting for young children. We were not given a key for the room therefore could not lock the door when leaving.

We found the owner to be very friendly and professional and we had some great conversations. The B&B was clean and top-notch with a very nice breakfast. He was very helpful and we had a wonderful day in and around Rockwood. Would absolutely return to do it again.

Gold weekend getaway

Don is a great host. Nicely decorated, clean quiet, great location. Good breakfast, very accommodating host. Warm and family style B&B.
