Located in the East Sussex village of Ewhurst Green with stunning views from inside and out, private parking and within walking distance to the pub. This is a fantastic period cottage with modern features! The rooms are bright and airy, and feature all the mod-cons you could need with all the charms of an old cottage. There are three large double bedrooms, two of which are kings. There is one large family bathroom with a bath and shower and a separate shower room. There is also a ground-floor cloakroom toilet. Downstairs has a wonderful open plan space with a living room, dining room and kitchen. The fully fitted kitchen has everything you would need for a very comfortable stay including a washer/dryer, dishwasher and Krupps bean-to-cup coffee machine, there is a large fridge, small freezer and wine fridge. Enjoy creating some fantastic holiday feasts for all the family to enjoy! Ewhurst Green is a beautiful sleepy village, and many footpaths can be accessed directly from the house. Enjoy water sports (kayaking and paddle boarding, along with rowing boats) down at Bodiam Boating Station, about a 5-minute drive away. The picturesque and romantic medieval Bodiam Castle was built in 1385 and has an original moat, towers and portcullis, and beautiful landscaping. The tea room overlooking the River Rother is a perfect spot to stop for a refreshment.

Lavender House is approximately 12 miles north of Hastings, with a great seafront and a selection of seafood restaurants. It is 20 miles from the prestigious Royal Tunbridge Wells, where you can experience the culture, beautiful scenery, and independent shops. Ideally situated to several National Trust properties including Sissinghurst Castle and Batemans. Less than 10 miles away is Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest, a perfect spot for walkers, and cyclists or to explore the treetops at Go Ape Bedgebury. Tenterden has a great little high street with antique shops, and close by is the Kent and Sussex steam railway going from Bodiam to Tenterden. For wine lovers, the award-winning vineyard Chapel Down is also within a half-hour drive. Pub 150 yards. Beach 12½ miles.
