Everything exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff and manager, Angel, made us feel incredibly welcome. It was our first time in Roatán, and staying at La Placita truly made it special. What makes La Placita unique is its charming shopping center filled with local restaurants — and we had the chance to try them all! Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. We highly, highly recommend dining at the local spots on-site. Be sure to try the three lobster tails special and the tacos Catrachos — both were unforgettable. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. A big bonus included with our stay was free breakfast, which was such a great way to start each day. La Placita has a wonderful reputation for making sure guests are enjoying their time, and most importantly, we felt safe from the moment we arrived. We’ll definitely be back — next time with friends and family! A special shoutout to Andy — our amazing tour guide throughout the entire trip. He took us all over the island, showing us everything from local hotspots to cultural gems like the chocolate factory. He’s down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and made sure we always felt safe and comfortable. Having him as our guide was a major highlight of the trip and another reason why La Placita stands out. Thank you to everyone at La Placita for making this such an unforgettable memory.

We had an amazing stay. The room was immaculate and comfortable. The location to the beach was only minutes away. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. We also had a driver who picked us up to and from the ferry station who was also super professional. Overall, the Placita Inn is a great value. I highly recommend it. I will definitely stay here for my next vacation!

I had a wonderful stay at La Placita Inn. The staff were very kind and attentive. I was able to easily book my round trip airport transfer through them. I also was able to easily get a taxi through them to get to a restaurant one night. The free breakfast is delicious and doesn’t take long to be served. La Placita also has some food options as well, but they take time to prepare the food so be just aware of that, but the food there is delicious. They also have a convenience store where you can buy water and other things you may need in La Placita as well. The hotel is located in a perfect location, right in the middle of West Bay beach and there are reserved beach chairs for you to use and umbrellas as well. There is also a pool that you have access to at the neighbouring hotel Mayan Princess, but I didn’t use it since I preferred the ocean but it looked well kept and clean, not busy whenever I passed it. The rooms were spacious and clean. The air conditioning worked, but i really needed the ceiling fan to get the temperature I wanted. Fresh towels and bedding were replaced by housekeeping. Overall this was a great hotel and I would highly recommend it.

I had an amazing Birthday long weekend. The breakfast was top notch. You actually get to order from a menu and it isn't a buffet. That was something that was good for us. The rooms were very clean and cleaned daily. The option of the plaza was great. We do share a pool with the hotel next door but it wasn't bad at all. Besides one of the security guys yelling at us from moving the beach shares and not lining them up like he wanted them. Everything was fine. Some of the beach chairs had bird poo and he wasn't happy that we moved them around to get cleaner ones. LOL Besides that everything was Great!!

La Placita Inn is a small hotel but it's very convenient..the beach is 1 minute..beautiful pool..it's surrounded by other hotels which made it look like one big hotel...everyone is amazing..the staff is so helpful...we will be back again to stay there...everything was amazing.

Good hotel for a good price. The rooms felt modern and clean. And the staff is very attentive . A few cons or FYIs if you will: -They do have music on the weekends that goes to around 10pm so if you go to bed before then, you may have trouble falling asleep. -They have a small restaurant on site which has “free” breakfast for guests and the food is pretty good. You order off a menu, not buffet and anything outside of what the small portion they give you is an additional charge which you get surprised with at the end of your stay. They don’t tell you until you are about to check out. For instance , you get either juice or coffee included . Not both. If you want both , extra charge. Ask for a substitution, extra charge or no go. -Also be prepared when it comes to potty time - you cannot flush toilet paper down the toilet. Yes, even for #2. All paper must go in the trash can next to the toilet. -You have use of the neighbor departs pool which is quaint but nice and relaxing. Although we were kicked out due to them “treating” the pool. Mind you, no sign was put up to let us know to NOT use the pool. That was a fun itchy night . So please check with the people at the Mayan hotel on pool use before getting in.

La Placita Inn is a beautiful property in a great location at West Bay. It is in within walking distance to numerous restaurants, bars, dive shops, gift shops, and grocery/liquor stores. The beach and pool are beautiful! We ate the complimentary breakfast at La Placita’s own restaurant every morning; it was delicious! All of the staff are very friendly and amazing, especially Jesse at the front desk and Edward at the restaurant. Highly recommend!
