The property was new, beautiful, and clean, very aesthetically pleasing. Pool was clean and perfect temperature. The beach in front of the resort was calm and so beautiful, just clear blue water. Seating on beach and around pool was abundant and the attendants were always available to set up your selected seating. Drinks were good and food at all the restaurants was delicious, we frequented the Sea Cat restaurant the most just because they had the most options and it was super convenient. The free snorkeling equipment made seeing the reefs in front of the resort super easy to see. There were kayaks, and other free entertainment options available as well. The gym was well appointed and the spa was beautiful. Just so many little trails to explore, we had a blast here. We left to do a couple of excursions and took the free hotel shuttle into the West end to shop and eat, but honestly there was plenty at the Hotel that you never have to leave. 20/10 would recommend!

From the moment I arrived at the Kimpton Grand Roatán, I knew this wasn’t going to be a typical resort experience—it felt intentional, personal, and deeply welcoming. This hotel redefines luxury in the most grounded, human way possible. What stood out most to me was the staff. Every single person I encountered—from the front desk to the restaurant to the go-kart drivers—was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. They didn’t just do their job—they showed care. And that means everything. The service was flawless without ever feeling stiff. I was greeted by name, remembered at dinner, and treated like more than just a guest—I felt seen. One night, the chef personally walked around asking everyone how their meal was, and that level of attention? You don’t forget that. The entire atmosphere felt peaceful and intentional. The rooms were gorgeous, the views breathtaking, and the transportation across the resort was smooth and even fun. (Big love to the sweet team that drove us in those carts—you were sunshine on wheels!) What impressed me even more was how everyone was treated well—guests and staff alike. You could feel that the people working there took pride in their roles. That matters deeply to me. If you’re looking for a resort that not only stuns with its beauty but leads with soul, Kimpton Grand Roatán is it. I’ll never forget the kindness I received here—and I’ll absolutely be back.

Service was outstanding. Multiple stellar staff members - check in/front desk, pool, dining, activities center. I would suggest the canvas over the bungalow porch should be attended to as it was ripped in multiple spots. As we did not use that area, it was not much of an issue other than aesthetic.

Property was nice, however spa was not to be as expected with the supposed rating it had. We wish we had read reviews prior. Inconsistent service. Amenities empty and not appropriately staffed. Also no hot water in the showers and steam room did not work in women’s locker room.

The hotel and grounds were beautiful. The beach and snorkeling were outstanding. The staff and natives were friendly and great to interact with. We felt like locals for our stay. The spa is opulent. Walk the beaches, snorkel, enjoy the entire beach. Highly recommend the bungalows!

The Kimpton was exquisite - from the welcome drink to the hotel staff willing to help with anything you need. The ocean view is incredible and the snorkeling in front of the property is the best! Buffet breakfast is totally worth it and has a lot of options, proteins changing daily. I’d recommend using water taxis when possible. Roads are congested and narrow so not good for walking. Hotel transportation is pricey but reliable vs trying to get a taxi. I was excited for my massage at the spa, since it claims to be #13 in the world. However - I had to ask for my complementary drink after the massage. And the hot tub isn’t hot - it was warm. But the plunge pool and relaxing area to enjoy after a treatment is pleasant. I noticed cups from guests left in random spots and not picked up quickly. The steam room in the ladies bathroom didn’t work. And my deep tissue massage wasn’t as deep as expected and, at times, it felt like my masseuse was distracted. For the high expense of spa, I was hoping for a better experience. But it’s worth it for relaxation and to get out of the extreme humidity & heat. Overall - lovely place and location. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Kimpton Grand Roatan. We stayed in a 2 bedroom beachfront villa with our family of 4. The villa was spacious and perfectly appointed. The resort grounds are stunning. The breakfast has great variety and delicious. The restaurants on site are great. The snorkeling right off the beach gives Maui snorkeling a run for it's money - definitely the best we have had in the Caribbean. We are already planning our next trip.
