It was a great location for a great price. Close to beach, restaurants, gym, and grocery stores. It is nice to have cooking facilities in the room for a quick bite to eat.

Booked 16 nights. 1day before check in and 1 day after checkout due to our flight times & traveling with kids. I informed the property of our arrival time. We reached at 8am, there was no concierge. The security at the desk only spoke Portuguese. They had our reservation wrong. We were told that we had to pay the full amount for the reservation in CASH. We did not walk with that kind of cash. The arrangement online was 50% upon booking and 50% on checking in. We were forced to pay $500 in cash to access a room. No one was in to speak to us in English. I called Expedia to sort out the issue but they were also unable to speak to someone at the hotel. 3 days later, the office opened, Spoke to Priscilla. We were told that we had to pay additional $80Real for cleaning, linen & towels. This is contrary to what’s listed on Expedia. She informed us that they are a BnB & cleaning is extra. I told her I didn’t see anything about it on Expedia & will be doing a review. The location is excellent opposite Copacabana beach safe area & staff friendly. The toilets do not flush properly, you have to flush 4 times. The hot water worked rarely. The kitchen is tiny, the beds are hard & stains on the matteress. 2 days before checkout, there was a fire on 12th floor. We were in our room on 10th floor. No fire alarms in the building. Staff had to pound our door to alert us to evacuate. It was very frightening. Very unsafe practice. Do NOT stay here. Hotel cheaper & safer.

Desastre

Rio excelente. El Departamento un desastre. Un ejemplo, 4 dias para que arreglen la cerradura del departamento, el dia 5 pretendia que este 5 hs esperando que la arreglen, NOOO, estoy de vacaciones. Toallas, hay que abonarlas. Ropa de cama no me ofrecieron para cambiar. El conserje que aparece en la foto no habla español, en la pagina dice personal bilingue, y por demas antipatico. Las hornallas de la cocina ocupan la mitad de la pileta. No hay ni un colador.
