    Accommodation In Rimini

Planning a trip to Italy? Rimini is a bustling leisure destination with decadent seaside nightclubs and 15 kms of white beach. These attractions share this city with relics of Roman rule like the Malatesta Temple. Even Italians go on holiday here, so if they love it, chances are you will too! Book your Rimini hotel with us.

Rimini was founded by the Romans as Ariminum in 268 B.C, although the area was occupied and fought over by various cultures long before then. The Ostrogoths took over in 493, and the city was captured many times during the Gothic War of 535-554. Rimini was badly damaged by World War Two and the tourist industry was developed after rebuilding was done.

Italian film director Federico Fellini was born in Rimini in 1920.

    Things to do

The beaches here may not be quiet or secluded, but they’re certainly vibrant and alive, with powdery white sand and clear blue water. Here, holiday-makers sit in the shade beneath colourful umbrellas or play rounds of table tennis. Aquafan Water Park in Riccione is another cool place to chill out, with waterslides, a wave pool and plenty of spots to relax.

Rimini’s nightlife scene offers plenty of choice, from bars on the beach to a pirate-themed nightclub, to a live music venue floating above the water on stilts. There are so many choices, and best of all, party time usually lasts from sunset until dawn.

The Tempio Malatestiano (Malatesta Temple) is a Renaissance cathedral originally built in the 1200s but transformed in the 15th century into a lavish tomb for the wife of local ruler Sigismondo Malatestiano. Other pleasing sights include the Castel Sismondo (a medieval fortress), and the Marecchia River.

If you have a great time in Rimini, you might want to check out the rest of the Emilia-Romagna region for fantastic food and cities full of culture.

    Shopping and dining

Pick up some souvenirs at the Le Befane Shopping Centre or one of the boutiques that line the cobblestone streets. When it’s dining time, you can take your pick from a number of restaurants that offer seafood, pasta and several other Italian favourites.
