Very good stay, would be perfect with a decent bed

The apartment was very well appointed and very secure. The bed was poor - very hard and very squeaky, in fact, one of us had to sleep on the couch to reduce noise on movement. Great location, very good service apart from the bed it was a good stay. Oh and perhaps some cleaning under the bed would be good.

Charming apartment in the heart of Old City

Conveniently located just a short walk from Livu square, Riga Dom, Blackhead (Melngavu) House and City Hall. Cafe, restaurants, souvenir shops are all around as you step on the cable-stone streets of the Old City.

Convenient location

Generally good. Except the stairwell lights are all broken, need to open door with light from phone. The electric kettle also has some issue, the base doesn't fit.

Relaxing in Tallinn

The apartment is in a quiet block on the edge of the old town, but only 5 minutes walk from the main square. The agency does have several different apartments, allocated on arrival. Our 1 bedroom accommodation was roomy and comfortable, everything we needed for a short stay.

Very unhappy with all of it. Did not get the apartments that we booked . Staff and management was not helpful at all. Spent 2 hours on the tell to hotels . Com for help Do not use designapartments to book your holiday

Great Location

Overall the apartment was OK. The apartment office is only open till 10:00pm and there is an extra charge to get in after 10:00pm. However, was able to negotiate this charge away. The stairs and entry way to the apartment were of Soviet standard and the apartment was well used. However the apartment itself was OK. The apartment was non smoking but years of smoking by previous owners had soaked in to the walls. Had to really air it out. The address given is to the company office and it was a short walk to the actual place. The location was super.

Excellent location for marathon start / finish!

Recommend you to book this apartment if you join this Riga marathon next year. Excellent location. Cant find wireless password to access it so has to go somewhere cafe to use it. spacious apartment! bath - not enough hot water in tank to fill up the bath! Thank you

Terrible service and misleading entry

It was a very misleading entry on Hotels.com. We needed to book 3 apartments for 10 people, only to be told 1 day before arriving that they would have 2 apartments but they would have enough space for the 10 of us. I asked about a refund at the time and they said we could negotiate that once we've seen the apartments. When we arrived the 2 apartments were at different ends of the Old Town, which was never made clear, and didn't have enough beds! We were told to sleep on a pull out double sofa for 2 people, when realistically it could fit 1 person, another bed was on a sofa in the other apartment. All beds were doubles, even though we requested singles. Everything about the apartment was misleading. When we asked for a refund because we were getting 7 beds instead of the 12 (we booked 3 apartments with 4 single beds each) the owner said he couldn't and it was only after a lot of persuasion we got any refund. The rooms we're the worst I've ever stayed in, but the misleading nature of the whole booking and the poor service to make us happy made give it a poor rating all round. It was pretty expensive for what you got too in terms of quality of the room.

Great location if a little run down

Great location and nice apartment but not well kept - for example the balcony door would not shut or lock and the ceiling was peeling off. The apartment was also located in a courtyard which was full of rubble. However the apartment had all the amenities required. Wifi was an extra €10 per day.

Great apartment and location.

Wow! The staff made me feel so welcomed and were extremely helpful. My apartment inside was amazing. All the comforts. I paid extra for wifi and it was with it. The upkeep of the building was poor, yet it didn't effect my stay whatsoever. No elevators though - just so you know. Great location in the old town. A 10 minute walk to the bus terminal. About the same to the train terminal.

3 bed apartment near Old Town Riga

The location was excellent for the Old Town just a few blocks away, The 3 bed apartment was a great size and had good facilities. The negatives didnt out way the overall opinion, no shower curtain, see through curtains which dont block any light. The area looks worse than it is but is fine and safe. Would recommend this place but if you want 5* then pay 5* rates.

Service with a scowl

Our self-catering apartment was minutes from the bars, shops, museums and lovely architecture of the old town. The room is spacious and clean. There's a small supermarket across the road where you can pick up everything you need for a basic meal. Designapartments refresh towels and bedding during your stay and for 14 Lats will even arrange for a driver to pick you up at the airport. But there's just one proviso - try not to be too put off when you go to pick up your keys and encounter your 'welcome' at Designapartments' office. Ours came via a scowling young woman called Inga. We arrived at the office at noon, but the Designapartments' driver asked us to dump our bags and return after 3, when the apartment would be ready and a member of staff called Inga would take us there. Returning at the requested time, we waited for 20 minutes, at which point a sulky teenager stomped into the office, huffed herself into a chair and proceeded to count a wad of bank notes. When we enquired if she might be Inga, she inclined her head, but didn't confirm or deny. We supplied all our credit card details when we made the online booking, but were told that the apartment hadn't yet been paid for, that credit cards couldn't be accepted and, lugging our cases, with Inga stomping ahead, we were led to a cashpoint which fortunately allowed us to take out 300 Lats on the spot. We were shown our apartment without explanation, and off went Inga. Riga is fantastic. Inga altogether less so...

Excellent Appartment

We didn't know what to expect when we booked this appartment in Riga so we were pleasently surprised by our clean, comfortable and spacious flat in the old town. The kitchen was well equipped for making light meals and the lounge was great for relaxing in the evenings. There was some noise at the weekend but in Riga I think that this may the case with all central appartments as it is a lively place at weekends. The location, of our appartment was excellent, though I understand that this company use a variety of locations. We really liked what became our home from home for ten days. I would definately recommend both Riga and Design Appartments.

Spacious, clean, well- located and friendly staff

Our two bedroom apartment was spacious, reasonably well -appointed and in a great location. Kitchen ware was limited but adequate. The staff was accommodating and helpful. We had a late arrival time, but they were there to greet us. Only quibble was the late-night noisiness of the hostel smokers next door.

вроде ни чего, но, кровать скрипит как сумасшедшая, и нет ванной, хотя я заказывал с ванной. Душевая кабинка, ну для маленьких, очень маленькая, не возможно нормально помыться. WiFi нет, пока разобрался с телевизором пол дня прошло

Ci è stato assegnato un altro appartamento,da quello che noi avevamo prenotato..al ritiro della chiavi ho trovato un foglio con indicazione di un altro indirizzo,il taxi che abbiamo prenotato ovviamente ci ha lasciato in palestra Isla ed è andato via...noi alle ore 20 abbiamo dovuto chiedere informazioni x arrivare all'indirizzo dell'appartamento..abbiamo girato mezzo centro storico a piedi con i bagagli..non hanno fatto nessun messaggio x avvertirci prima..arrivati a destinazione..le scale dell'appartamento erano vecchie sporche e mal odoranti, l'appartamento non era male,ma i letti piccolissimi e scomodi,la cucina con piastre che non funzionavano.....lo consiglio solo x la posizione

באתר משקרים לכם במצח נחושה. אין דבר כזה DESIGNAPPARTMENTS. יש להם דירות בכל רחבי העיר העתיקה וברחוב PALASTA 10 נמצא רק משרד ומשם תצטרכו ללכת כרבע שעה -עשרים דקות עד הדירה. הפתעה לא נעימה אם אתם באים עם מזוודות גדולות . חלק מהדירות בקומות גבוהות בלי מעלית ועם מדרגות צרות.
