Very good stay, would be perfect with a decent bed
The apartment was very well appointed and very secure. The bed was poor - very hard and very squeaky, in fact, one of us had to sleep on the couch to reduce noise on movement. Great location, very good service apart from the bed it was a good stay. Oh and perhaps some cleaning under the bed would be good.

Charming apartment in the heart of Old City
Conveniently located just a short walk from Livu square, Riga Dom, Blackhead (Melngavu) House and City Hall. Cafe, restaurants, souvenir shops are all around as you step on the cable-stone streets of the Old City.

Generally good. Except the stairwell lights are all broken, need to open door with light from phone. The electric kettle also has some issue, the base doesn't fit.

The apartment is in a quiet block on the edge of the old town, but only 5 minutes walk from the main square. The agency does have several different apartments, allocated on arrival. Our 1 bedroom accommodation was roomy and comfortable, everything we needed for a short stay.

Very unhappy with all of it. Did not get the apartments that we booked . Staff and management was not helpful at all. Spent 2 hours on the tell to hotels . Com for help Do not use designapartments to book your holiday

Great Location
Overall the apartment was OK. The apartment office is only open till 10:00pm and there is an extra charge to get in after 10:00pm. However, was able to negotiate this charge away. The stairs and entry way to the apartment were of Soviet standard and the apartment was well used. However the apartment itself was OK. The apartment was non smoking but years of smoking by previous owners had soaked in to the walls. Had to really air it out. The address given is to the company office and it was a short walk to the actual place. The location was super.

Recommend you to book this apartment if you join this Riga marathon next year. Excellent location. Cant find wireless password to access it so has to go somewhere cafe to use it. spacious apartment! bath - not enough hot water in tank to fill up the bath! Thank you

Terrible service and misleading entry
It was a very misleading entry on Hotels.com. We needed to book 3 apartments for 10 people, only to be told 1 day before arriving that they would have 2 apartments but they would have enough space for the 10 of us. I asked about a refund at the time and they said we could negotiate that once we've seen the apartments. When we arrived the 2 apartments were at different ends of the Old Town, which was never made clear, and didn't have enough beds! We were told to sleep on a pull out double sofa for 2 people, when realistically it could fit 1 person, another bed was on a sofa in the other apartment. All beds were doubles, even though we requested singles. Everything about the apartment was misleading. When we asked for a refund because we were getting 7 beds instead of the 12 (we booked 3 apartments with 4 single beds each) the owner said he couldn't and it was only after a lot of persuasion we got any refund. The rooms we're the worst I've ever stayed in, but the misleading nature of the whole booking and the poor service to make us happy made give it a poor rating all round. It was pretty expensive for what you got too in terms of quality of the room.
