I was a bit anxious about the shared facilities when booking - but they are really nice. Went on the river walk and had a great swim. Yoga before breakfast in the sun. Choice.

Thank you so much for our stay. Everything felt so homely and comfortable. We love the fact it was pet friendly as we bought our little chihuahua along with us aswell and she loved it! The honesty box shop is such a great idea ! We will definitely be back and would recomend to everyone.

Enjoyable stay and lovely warm welcome

We arrived to a lovely welcome at Appleby House. We had the house to ourselves. It was very peaceful and amazing surrounding views. Every detail was covered and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast and coffee with supplies from the owners. Amazing place to stay we will return!

Lovely, peaceful and quiet place to stay

Pros: Ambience
Location: Mapua wharf, 10 minutes down the highway by car, provides many options for dinner.
We had just one night here, to break up a long stretch of travel. Would easily have stayed longer, and certainly would recommend to individual travellers or families looking to take the whole house. It's modern, stylish and quiet. All of the ammenities were catered for, including WiFi and a lovely self-serve breakfast. The sheep outside were entertaining, and if you stay on a full moon night, as we did, you're in for a beautiful setting!
