Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
We stayed at this property recently, and while it had some good features, I feel the listing didn’t reflect the reality of the experience. I’m sharing this so others can make an informed decision.
Finding the house was difficult—the address had no house number, and there’s no property name or lighting at the entrance. We had to rely on guesswork to locate it, which was especially tricky at night. The property is situated at the very top of steep stone steps, and arriving back after dark made navigating those slippery stairs quite difficult.
Inside, the stairs to the bedrooms are extremely narrow and steep—you have to walk sideways to get up or down. Everyone in our group who had a room upstairs slipped at least once. I personally fell and chipped a rib.
The showers are very small, with poor water pressure, and there’s nowhere to store any toiletries. The sun terrace is only accessible by climbing out of a bedroom window using a stool, which didn’t feel safe, so we didn’t use it.
On the plus side, the air conditioning worked well, and it was helpful to have a fridge and washer. I did ask for a partial refund given the fall and safety issues but was told no.
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt it was important to share an honest account of our stay. The property may suit some travellers, but there are definite safety concerns that should be considered.
