Alda is central to the main area of Reykjavik, which was awesome. Had a king size room and could walk on an open patio and see the views. Only downside was there is no air circulation and it got stuffy and warm. I understand no air conditioning but perhaps some ventilation from the outside. It was about 50-55F/ 10-13C and had to keep the window and door open for air. Since it was summer, it was a challenge keeping the drapes closed to keep out the light while letting in the breeze. I put a backpack on the bottom to keep it from completely opening but didn't get enough breeze and light crept in so def need an eye mask and ear plugs for outside noise. Maybe we could have asked for a fan. We still had a great 5 nights and would stay there again!

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel at the end of our Iceland trip. Very nice hotel with modern touches. We loved that the hotel gives a phone to use during your stay. The hotel is located in a very central location. We did use the nearby parking garage to do overnight parking since street parking would have cost a lot more. We will definitely return to this hotel.

The hotel is in a nice location. It’s clean and has a nice lobby. The rooms are very small and the shower set up is not ideal. The beds are soft so for those with bad backs like me they are not ideal. The staff is lovely!!!

Perfect location and easy to access by public transportation from Bus Stop #9 which is less than a 5 minute walk. The Starbucks next door and the restaurant in the hotel are also extremely convenient. Plenty of nice restaurants and shopping close to the hotel.

The staff at reception were very welcoming and extremely helpful! Overall, the hotel was clean and quiet, with plenty of food and shopping nearby. The morning of our departure, our ride to the airport had to cancel last minute, but reception was quickly able to secure a new van for our large group and held our luggage in a secure room while we walked around Reykjavik. Overall, a very nice stay!

Great location in the heart of Reykjavik. Clean rooms. Housekeeping took all our towels one day and forgot to replace them. Breakfast buffet was pricey, so ate at local breakfast restaurants. However, would stay here again.

Heart of Reykjavik. Shops, food, attractions all around. Staff was friendly and helpful. Even enjoyed the small gym and soak in the hot tub and sauna. Parking on the street was a little annoying but easy to find and easy enough to figure out how to pay. Would stay again.

You couldn't find a better or more central hotel than Alda which feels like walking distance to just about everything. Friendly staff,.quick check in, great rooms and a delightful bar/restaurant downstairs made it a perfect place for our brief stay in Reykjavik.
