We stayed at the IBIS Gare Sud and we had a great stay! The rooms were clean, employees were kind and helpful. The only thing that would have improved our stay was if there were more towels, face towels, or hand towels on the bathroom. Ours only came with 2 regular towels. Other than that, it was great!

Conveniently located for an easy access to all the historical sites, the hotel provided comfort and safety. Ample breakfast with vegan options and well labeled choices was served in a bright and welcoming environment. Coffee machine with hot water option was set up in the lobby, along the microwave. Interesting in-room bathroom pod needed an extra deep cleaning, but everyday room service was very good.

I chose this hotel because of the close vicinity to train station two minutes away when visiting St Malo. The bus station is also close by making it very convenient when we visited Mt Saint Michel. Accommodations were very nice and if they had a mini-frig and microwave, this would have been perfect. The property was well maintained and if I had any other recommendations, it would be to replace the carpeting but otherwise, I would recommend this hotel for others that do not want to be near city center.
