Great hotel for families

Great hotel that is close enough to beach. Staff was helpful and went above and beyond to accommodate. The pool was clean and the kids enjoyed it. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options and delicious.

Staff could not provide a working key to us upon check in. After three trips back and forth she let us in our room with her master key. She said they were full and couldn't give us a room with a working key. The toilet would not flush properly and we were given a plunger. Oddly there was a drawer right by the bathroom door that would not stay closed. At checkout, we explained our issues and I was offered a membership to the points system and 50,000 points which would give us a free night in the future. The membership came and it had only 10,000 points. I am very disappointed.

We had a great stay here July13-15. Room and bathroom were clean. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning and 24/7 coffee and tea. The staff were friendly. Our fridge wasn’t working and they sent up a replacement promptly. We would stay here again for the amenities and proximity to the beach.

Pro: 1. There are rooms with full-size refrigerators and kitchens with a stove top. 2. Property is 15-min drive from beach and around decent takeout if needed. 3. The pool is nice. 4. Hotel staff are friendly Cons: 1. The couch in the room along with ottomans are very stained. We put a sheet over it and that made a bit better to sit on. This could be from people or dogs as all the rooms are dog friendly. 2. There was droplets of what looked like blood on the sheet on the bed. It surprised me the bed was made because where the stain was clearly visible. 3. The 1 pot and 1 pan provided were scratched to the point I would consider unusable given it was at one point a non stick pan. The can opener was rusted and had food stuck on it. 4. Our room came with express service for cleaning which meant from what I saw that the beds were made, fresh towels were provided, and toiletries. But the floor was not vacuumed and the tops of counters were not wiped down.
