We had a very nice stay at the Fig House. It is located on the bottom floor of the host’s house, but is private. It was very clean and spacious. The decor was very cute and gave it a homey feel. We appreciated the binder Don and Rhonda created that had recommendations of restaurants, local attractions, and more. We could hear footsteps early in the morning from the floor above, but I’m also a light sleeper.

My wife and son and I had a pleasant stay. This place is right in the middle of everything. Whiskey town lake was 13min to the entrance and 18min to the actual beach-swim area. Waterworks water park was 12min away which I recommend. Win-River casino about 10 min away which I went one night. Everything you need is inside this house.They provided free coffee & creamer, water,shampoo and what we like to was the washer and dryer conveniently located in the house. Made it easy for us to wash our clothes after the lake and swim park. The hosts were very accommodative.They responded to any question I had immediately.We will definitely rent this location out again.Oh, and the AC blows cold, which is a major plus when you go in the summer.

Don and Rhonda are exceptionally friendly, generous, and helpful hosts. They kindly allowed us to store our luggage even after we had checked out. We also accidentally broke one of their wine glasses, and they graciously chose not to charge us for it. Most importantly, during our stay I experienced back stiffness and inflammation, and they thoughtfully provided me with some ibuprofen, which was a great help. I highly recommend this beautiful homestay—truly a five-star experience.
