Upon arrival I learnt the AC was malfunctioning for odd room numbers however my room was even number. 33 degrees in the room with a 1 yo and 4 yo who couldn't sleep. Extra fans were provided. Partial refund offered by Mgmt although took 3 months to actually have it processed

Overall a good stay

We didn't realise the hotel was attached to Madjeski Stadium until we arrived on a match day. We checked in just after kick off though so most fans inside the stadium by then. Check in was very slow. We did receive apologies and told that the IT was failing however, service in other areas and later was also slow. Staff were polite courteous and helpful though. The room was lovely. Spacious, air con, complimentary water and the bedding was extremely comfortable. Do not use the recommended Top Cars cab company. We and many other guests experienced problems with them.

Only stayed one night but good

We stayed here on a Friday night. Didn’t use the pool or bar. Bedrooms ok but shower pressure is low so could be an issue if you have lots of suds in your hair. Breakfast we booked and had lots to cater for different tastes. Would stay again.

The VOCO in Reading was our last stay after a 9 day trip with overnight stays in Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris and London, and the BEST stay of the entire trip. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like five star guests in a five star hotel. The front desk was so helpful in making recommendations and offering to arrange taxi service, and then rescheduling that service when I needed it. The restaurant was great with fantastic hours; despite checking in late after 8 PM, we were still able to enjoy a great dinner and drink in the hotel bar. The restaurant and bar staff were also top-notch. We had a party of three, with two adults and a 13 year-old and had special requests about dining the next day. When we were arrived for dinner, even though we had a different server, they were aware of what we had shared the night before and fully prepared. We stayed for two nights and the accommodations were extremely comfortable. From being from America, we are used to air-conditioning and the air-conditioning in that hotel was great – the best of any hotel across our trip. We can’t speak more highly about the service. The only drawback, and it’s very small, there was no coffee or tea in the room and you needed to go down to the restaurant and I pay for a cup (or it was included if you dined in for a fee). Overall, this hotel was fantastic and probably the best service we’ve ever received while traveling.

It was convenient as I was at an event on the complex - otherwise it is a distance from the town centre. Hotel was decent, room spacious, bathroom clean. Staff friendly, one of the staff was kind enough to bring me a specific coffee. The breakfast buffet was very crowded and the seating area noisy.

Wonderful family stay

2 night family stay with my wife and 2 young kids which was a treat for our 13th year old daughters birthday weekend which we combined with a trip to LEGOLAND. Check in was quick and easy. The room was amazing which the girls loved, especially a “big” bed to themselves. We used the indoor swimming pool on both days which was a good treat for all. Breakfast was amazing with so much food. Plenty of parking with a quick and easy check out. We will definitely be back!!!
