1. Courtyard located inside a larger Mall was overly noisy owing to commercial parking lot traffic volume making sleeping after a day driving almost impossible. But worst of all was piecemeal ala carte breakfast option. Cheap, insufficient, $20 for a ham n cheese croissant and small coffee. No option for breakfast variety, fruit, pastries, cereal, no refills. WORST Marriott breakfast ever! I will not stay here ever again and will avoid Courtyards forever! I was at Fairfield Inn Marriott Livingston MT night prior (wonderful breakfast bar) and Hampton Inn Sioux City following night ( great breakfast bar!) both cheaper overall and quieter and real breakfast! Courtyard Marriott Rapid City sucked. Never again! Ratin one star is ten times too high.

The hotel is nice and clean. Front desk attendants were wonderful, very courteous and professional. Our hotel room was spotless and smelled clean and fresh. Cons: Not the hotels fault, but beware of NOT staying on a weekend when Box Elder event center is hosting kids league basketball tournament, there were kids running up and down the halls on our floor and floor above us. Plus, kids were going down the hall knocking on random hotel room doors at 10:30pm. They woke us up and our infant grandbaby. The people in the room next to us went down to complain to the front desk and pretty sure they ended up parenting other peoples kids, because it got quiet and the knocking on doors stopped. Waterpark was overcrowded and water was murky. Not worth going to. We will stay again, because of the kind hotel staff and clean hotel…just not on an event weekend.

Staff was nice, room was good. They are charging $10 to park here now, which seems like a bit much for the set-up. I’m not a fan of getting charged an extra fee when you get there after booking on here and paying in full.
