Pleasant member of staff greeted us on arrival and checked us in without any issues. Basic room but expected that for the very reasonable price. Bed sheets and linen clean, bed comfotable, bathroom and shower area clean. Windows open to allow fresh air in but did find that the cable restrctors just pulled out of their locking mechanism so need fixing as was on the first floor, and would be easy for a child to open the window and fall.

Great location

Great location for M1 access to many places. Easy to get to Chesterfield and the Peak District too. Made day trips to places really convenient.

The room was clean, but tired (tear in curtain, dents in wall, older furniture and beds. Main issue was that I booked the room (twin) as it said two single beds. I assumed this would mean two beds with a proper mattress on each, however, it was two beds that obviously are normally used together as a double, probably with a proper mattresses. We had what can be described as a thick mattress topper or a very thin, unsprung, roll mat. This was disappointing. The food was good and the staff friendly and accommodating. The location was good for what we wanted and the parking good (and included). I just can’t understand why a company would give a ‘kind of’ twin to a customer that specifically wanted a twin, when (I assume) there must be better and more specific twin rooms available; it wasn’t cheap. This aspect of our stay made it slightly disappointing. Other than this, a good stay… the twin ‘beds’/‘mattresses’ experience, means that I would think twice about using that particular hotel again.

A very good rate and the hotel was convenient for the M1. Our room was next to the lift and was very noisy particularly as there were a lot of late arrivals.

Good value stay with comfy bed

Good value stay. Fairly basic room and bathroom, but bed and pillows comfy and room was clean. No Aircon, so if it had been a hotter day, would have not been so good. But overall very good and would stay here again
