Great place to stay. As people have mentioned the hills on the property are very steep. It’s also a little dated in the rooms. However if you want some delusion and a great staff it’s a great place to stay. Thanks everyone!

We enjoyed our stay at Shana, the monkeys that live in the trees nearby being regular visitors to the hotel pool and balconies. There is easy access to the beach from the hotel. The pool bar offers 2-4-1 drinks every afternoon and serves very good Woodfired pizzas, burgers, steaks and local cuisine. The small town of Manuel Antonio is around 0.5mike up a steep track, but taxis were easy enough to arrange from the hotel to there and further afield into Quepos. Watching the sunset from the pool bar with pina colada was memorable.

The resort is definitely nice. The staff is EXCELLENT! They are so nice and accommodating. The reasons why I wouldn’t stay there again are due to our preferences. Everything is very far away. To get from the room to restaurant, pool, etc you have to walk outdoors on a big hill. Nothing is convenient at this resort. To get to the beach you literally have to hike. It’s a beautiful hike but not very relaxing. If you stay here, make sure you have a car because there isn’t anything within comfortable walking distance.

You can’t beat chilling in the pool with a drink in hand while watching a sloth climbing a tree, toucans singing, and macaws flying overhead. Nor does anything beat the monkey visit on the balcony. Also Javier in the restaurant is THE MAN.

We really enjoyed our stay. Great customer service from every staff member we interacted with. We loved having access to the beach nearby. Happy hour every afternoon by the pool. Lots of wildlife just at our balcony, including sloths, toucans, and monkeys. We loved the stunning ocean view! Decent breakfast buffet included. We had dinner once on site which was ok. Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Lets start by saying that the staff is nice and friendly. But, The hotel is nothing like the pictures, I booked it specifically because of the views, the rooms are not cleaned, BATHROOMS: are nasty, and broken, beds is really hard, electricity and water went off while I was in the shower, towels are not in good shape, the ends are all broken, I requested an Iron since there is non in the room and it was all dirty and it messed up my clothes, PARKING: is a nightmare, it was time for us to leave and there was a car blocking us and we had to wait almost 2 hrs for them to find the driver when there is a guy 24hr right where we parked and did not say anything to the people blocking us, RESTAURANT: looks like a school cafeteria, prices are high just like all places in manuel antonio, they included the tip in the check and still the server came after us walking asking for cash, we always leave good tips everywhere we go but just dont like being asked for it, specially when is added in the bill. BEACH: dont expect it to be there, you have to go down a hill and up and towels for the beach you have to get at pool area and make sure to give it back or you will be charged 20.00 x each. I paid 680.00 us for 2 nights which is not cheap and I was really expecting a nicer hotel.

We had a wonderful week long stay at Shana. Our 7 year old daughter had a blast at the pool and the beach nearby (hotel has direct access). We saw so much wildlife right from our balcony! Staff were very nice and helpful and assisted us with making plans in the area. Shana also set us up with transportation to/from the airport. We appreciated the hospitality!
