Spent 3 nights at this hotel. Room was clean, but needs further update in terms of furnishings but we didn’t mind. The view of the ocean from the room & dining area is SPECTACULAR! The staff was very attentive and the food wonderfully delicious! Would recommend staying here on your trip to Quepos.

The view from the room is excellent and size, amenities were great as well. The restaurant has an excellent location but the restaurant manager was rude. This left a bad impression of our stay at the hotel.

The hotel offers the best views in town and boasts a beautiful pool along with well-maintained property grounds. However, the building is quite old, and the rooms feel more like hospital rooms than cozy accommodations. It would be a nice touch if bottled water were provided in the room and if wine glasses were available instead of paper cups. Additionally, the bathroom lacked shower gel and hair conditioner, and the towels were stained. Lastly, we had the worst dinner of our 10-day trip to Costa Rica at their restaurant.

Gorgeous views, but ...

Positives: the views, the views, the views! Breakfast selections and service were excellent. Loved that breakfast was included. Lunch and drink selections were great. Enjoyed the pools and location. Negatives: The furniture in our room was very uncomfortable...bed was extremely from and had a wide wooden frame around the mattress which made it difficult to get in and out, futon/couch was overly soft and hard to get out of, chairs both in the room and on the balcony were inexpensive plastic chairs and not what we expected for the cost. Towels were clean but well worn. One hand towel and no washcloths provided in room. Our garden view included a view of the roof and backyard of another residence...which was fine but the pictures were deceiving making it seem much more private.

Beautiful place. People were wonderful. Pricing for food and drinks expensive, but seems to be the case in CR. Wish they better lighting in bath and makeup mirror. Glad I brought one.

This hotel has the BEST views in Manuel Antonio. The staff were excellent. They were very helpful and kind. The food was good, the rooms were clean. I would highly recommend, I would certainly come again. I also love that there were so many options for food and shopping and entertainment nearby.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Pool and view was stunning. We stayed in the main building and only complaint was water pressure is very week and sometimes no hot water was available.

Our stay at La Mariposa in Manuel Antonio was absolutely incredible! The views from our room were nothing short of astonishing—waking up to the ocean and ending the day with the most beautiful sunsets was pure magic. The property is surrounded by nature, and one of the highlights was seeing a pair of macaws that live on-site, adding to the already unforgettable experience. The hotel itself was beautiful, well-maintained, and had a peaceful atmosphere. The staff was warm and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. If you’re looking for a stunning escape with unbeatable views and wildlife right at your doorstep, this is the place to be. We can’t wait to come back!

Amazing views. Restaurant and staff were great. The property has been around for years and is well Maintained. Landscape is beautiful. The restaurant view are amazing. Food is great. The rooms are very big with kitchenette- great for families. The staff is lovely kind and helpful.

We stayed at the La Mariposa corner sunset room for 3 days. The wraparound balcony is of course the highlight of our stay here. Everyday we woke up by around 5am to hear the howler monkeys and see the sunrise while sipping a cup of coffee. As the day went by with many activities around Manuel Antonio, we made sure to be back to our room by 4pm. We figured that was the prime time to start watching birds fly back to their nests. We were lucky to see so many scarlet macaws, toucans, hawks, green parrots, and so many other varieties of birds right from our balcony! And then the sunset would invariably paint the sky with the most beautiful shades of red and orange. Being high up in our 4th floor room we had almost a 200 degree view of the Manuel Antonio beach, the ocean, and the surrounding forest. We also enjoyed very good spreads of breakfast everyday, interactions with helpful staff members, and other amenities that the resort provides. The hotel grounds are also very well maintained with lush landscaping that blends into the natural surroundings. This is a must stay place while at Manuel Antonio.
