My husband and I stayed at Gaia after I found it online, and WOW- the ratings and photos didn’t even come close to preparing us for what awaited. I’ve truly never experienced a hotel like this before. From the breathtaking views to being surrounded by jungle, national park, and a macaw refuge, Gaia feels like something out of a dream. But what truly sets it apart is the people who run it. Every single staff member is attentive to every detail. It’s as if they anticipate your needs before you even realize them yourself. Our personal concierge, Catalina, made everything effortless. Alessio, our dinner waiter, and Anthony, who took care of us at breakfast, were equally wonderful, warm, thoughtful, and genuinely kind. Their care isn’t just part of their job, but it’s who they are as people. Because of them, we felt immersed in Costa Rican hospitality and culture in a way that words can’t quite capture. Catalina helped us plan amazing excursions: a guided tour of Manuel Antonio, a 90 minute couples massage on-site, and a breathtaking waterfalls tour that became one of our favorite memories. With only about 20 guests on the property, everything felt intimate and serene. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted, upgraded to a beautiful room, and made to feel at home right away. We just left the hotel and we loved it. All the staff were great but extra thank you to Deiver, our concierge. He made everything very easy from reservations to the National park, shopping, dinning and transportation. We were very sad to leave and hope to be back soon.

This was a beautiful property. The staff was amazing and overly attentive! I was upgraded to a room with my own pool which was amazing! The room was beautiful. The pool was nice but not as beautiful as it is in the pictures. I like this location and would stay here again.

We had an incredible stay! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and safe. (They go the extra mile by calling you by name anytime you interact with them.) The rooms were spotless, spacious, and so comfortable, with thoughtful touches like espresso machines and a personalized selection of toiletries. Amenities were top-notch, including the 24-hour golf cart service, a beautiful pool with excellent swim-up bar service, and a relaxing spa experience. The concierge, Gary, was fantastic—always quick to respond and genuinely helpful. La Luna was a highlight as well, with delicious food, a wonderful atmosphere, and attentive staff. The hotel also offers a shuttle to Manuel Antonio National Park, which is such a nice convenience—after driving ourselves this time, we’ll definitely take the van on our next visit. Truly a memorable experience—we can’t wait to come back!

From start to finish our expectations were exceeded! The staff was just amazing and the hotel is as well. We were pretty much the only guests there. We went to their restaurant for dinner and the sushi was some of the best I've ever had! Chicken curry was killer too

The service at Gaia Hotel was outstanding. Catalina and the entire team went above and beyond to make sure we felt special and well taken care of. They were attentive to every detail, helping us with booking tours, arranging transport, providing towels and coffee, and even organizing cooking classes. The views from both the pool and the restaurant were simply breathtaking. The property is tucked away in the jungle yet perched on a mountaintop overlooking the ocean, an incredibly unique and unforgettable setting. Beautiful Hotel. Excellent service! Parked and immediately greeted by the host who called a shuttle to take us up to the lobby. On the way we stopped to see a sloth in the trees as well as a pair of macaws. They took our luggage and guided us into the restaurant with amazing views. They had pre prepared cocktails for us, a eucalyptus wet towel, and went over their amenities and services they provide. The room was very spacious, clean, incredibly comfortable .pool was great. We saw about a dozen spider moneys in the trees 20’ from the pool area. Restaurant service was top notch and the food was delicious. Breakfast was 10/10! Highly recommend. I would absolutely go back. They also provide free shuttle service to Manuel Antonio park and the beach every hour of the day

Upon arrival you’re driven on the golf cart to the top of a rainforest. If you watch carefully you can spot sloths, monkeys, and amazing birds. Our villa was the perfect arrangement for our family and gave us a great place to relax. The master balcony had morning closeup vies if a sweet Scarlet McCaw couple. You could spot monkeys and toucans from the roof terrace. Cabana and dining area on roof were added extra. Staff was super attentive and helpful. Restaurant and especially breakfast was absolutely AMAZING as were the frozen cocktails and lunch and dinner too. Please see my review for La Luna. Pool was fun with midday frozen cocktail treats (mocktails too!). Beds and sheets were perfect for helping us rest. Went in McCaw tour and hike for breathtaking view and hotel arranged for friendly and informative tour guide, Clarence, at the MApark where he helped us photograph wildlife and told us facts and tidbits about the animals. Very enjoyable! Hotel does keep tabs on your arrivals/departures but you soon realize it so they can clean your room and make sure you cone back and don’t go MIA on a hike or tour if you venture on your own. Great stay, relaxing and welcoming. Definitely go back someday!

Gaia was the oasis I needed for a quick getaway! The property was serene, and the service was top notch. Our Concorde, Daniela, went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay! All of the staff were friendly and accommodating. We definitely enjoyed our stay!
