The location and the Hotel facilities were just right . . . no lace curtains, a designated female bathroom area, a window that opens to allow for fresh air if preferred, a very warm and comfortable bed with good lighting to read by. One problem, the overhead light did not seem to work.

Thankyou for this wonderful feedback, the globe must have popped so I have had housekeeping check all lights in all rooms

We loved the building, it had great atmosphere. We liked the window you could open and the view of the sea. We didn't love the distance from our tiny room to toilets, the men in the women's bathroom, and the ancient heater in the room, the kitchen with no sink, or the lack of anywhere to put your stuff - our clothes went on the floor . Actually it would all have been fine if it had been a hostel but they were charging hotel prices, which didn't seem appropriate. Having said that, the staff were friendly and the place was definitely clean. Great cafes close by.

Thankyou for your feedback, our prices are extremely reasonable as they do reflect that we are an old heritage guest house with shared bathrooms. We cannot move the toilets closer to the room! All rooms have hooks on the walls and chairs to place belongings on. Many rooms, $10 more a night have wardrobes. We offer a tea and coffee room as you was explained upon check in, and as stated on our web page, we do not offer a kitchen with a sink for cooking as we are not a hostel we are a boutique guest house. You can stay mid-week for $90 and weekends for $130...pretty good rates for a newly refurbished guest house in the main street of beautiful Queenscliff, walking distance to everything. We always suggest you read the description of a hotel before you book then you know what you are getting without having other expectations and being disappointed. Small business is so difficult and negative reviews are so hurtful

Property was clean and functional, but the restaurant was way too expensive. They even charged GST on top of the stated price.

Please look at your receipt, GST is inclusive not extra! So difficult to please everyone, we find that on a daily basis we receive positive feedback about the huge servings, all fresh produce, local and all dishes prepared from scratch by our chefs....you don't find this in many restaurants and generally guests are happy to pay a few extra dollars knowing even the aioli's are made in house
