Massive food poisoning for both of us ruining our stay despite all possible precautions, requiring emergency antibiotics. I’ve lost 15lbs during the week long stay; the resort refuses to even hear it. The resort completely lacks any food safety knowledge, everything is grossly undercooked. Buffets don’t keep hot food hot nor cold food cold so it has plenty of time to create foodborne illnesses. Definitely won’t be back nor would ever recommend this to anyone. Lots of other problems during our stay.

First of all it’s such an overrated hotel. Nothing is special ! Food was really bad especially ocean buffet restaurant. Hotel workers were not hospitality, friendly and welcoming they were so rude . Adults side coffee shop they closed the bar earlier and this happened few times whenever you want something from them they don’t smile and they are being mean to you even if it’s a hot water . It seems like staff don’t want to work or don’t like their job . I wanted to relax there a week but unfortunately it wasn’t a good time for me and my husband. So don’t go there and don’t spend your money for this hotel.

The resort was very short staffed. TV didn't work in our first room, then we were moved to a 2nd room, TV didn't work and maintenence never fixed it. None of the the hot tubs were hot, all had cold water. Ariana and team from entertainment was great and bar guys were great. A lot of staff didn't speak or understand English. Huge Language barriers.

Beach was very nice and well kept. Resort was relatively clean and we saw the staff making effort to keep the areas clean. But there were bottles and glasses from previous evening still on the walk ways. Food was average and options were somewhat limited. Each restaurants had different themes, but the food seemed same but presented differently. Generally, staffs were nonchalant and indifferent although there were a few that were very friendly and helpful, but that was more of an exception. One of the down side was the sales pitch that was under the guise of free gifts. We refused the offer and one of the manager was aggressive and somewhat confrontational. I would ask the resort to be transparent about the sales pitch and respect our time and the reason that we come to the place at the first place. Lastly, if you are a nonsmoker, the resort does not seem to enforce the rules so be aware.

The $500 credit promoted by Expedia is not an actual credit, but coupons/credits for items that add up to $500 (ie, room upgrade $100 off, bottle of wine $20 off, excursion $30 off), no spa service credit. Staff were nice, but not overly attentive or helpful. The room was decently cleaned, but could have been better. We did have our snacks and drinks refilled daily. At the restaurants, the staff were sure to keep things clean, however I was given glasses on multiple occasions with lipstick/lip marks on the rim. The servers at dinner were very friendly and always made sure we had what we needed. Breakfast was always busy, so they couldn’t be as attentive. The lobby bar had the best drinks!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. This resort was considerably cheaper than other resorts we’ve been to in Punta Cana. The resort itself was very clean—no issues with housekeeping in rooms and restaurants, buffet, common areas etc very clean. There simply is not enough staff so service is generally slower which we didn’t mind as we enjoyed chit chatting with our friends during dinner and weren’t in a rush to get anywhere. There were several nights when people around us got up and left their dinner reservations because of the speed of service. The staff were friendly and kind there just is not enough of them to accommodate the need. We didn’t have a bad meal but nothing stood out as amazing. Food was decent. Limited variety at the buffet, particularly for breakfast so by the end of the week we were over it but also feel like that’s pretty standard. The resort overall, very chill vibes. Had just enough entertainment options in the evening, hanging in the lobby piano bar was a good scene. Rooftop bar/pool next door on the family side was amazing.

Really nice resort. We stayed in a pool view swim out room. The property and room were very clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. Food was very good - even the buffets had good fresh options available. The drinks were good overall and not watered down. Coffee was excellent, one of the highlights. This side of the Serenade resort is pretty new. We stayed 2 nights on the family side due to a change in travel plans, and there really is no comparison between the two. Everything about the adults only side is much better, including the food. Housekeeping was daily and they did a fantastic job. Get your restaurant reservations early, they fill up fast. Be aware they do sell timeshares so this is a sales pitch you might get. One other small note and suggestion for the property management - we were on the ground floor and anytime our upstairs neighbors slid a chair across the floor it was really loud. So loud I kindly informed them to avoid this late at night. Felt pads at the bottom of the chair feet could solve this. These are concrete buildings and so the floors aren’t soft. Overall great stay and highly recommend.
