Room was not cleaned very well. AC unit was not working correctly and leaking water from the ceiling. Toilet kept running constantly.Changing rooms was a nightmare and they don't accommodate to make your experience better. Sheets feel wet and smell like mildew but it is a humid country. Staff doesn't speak English so be prepared to be turned away and figure it out on your own.

I reserved to beds and they had it only and one and when they resolved the issue, the clerk was asking for $$ for correcting the issue.After speaking with other patrons I was told this was happening to several customers. Many things were broken around the resort . Coffee makers, hand dryers, handles , The rooms where not cleaned properly and a majority of the staff where grumpy and sometimes rude , acting as if you where a bother when asked for anything . On a good note The grounds where well kept and the beach was beautiful and good food .

The maintenance to the rooms was very much unkept. There was leaking and condensation coming from the vents causing wet floors. The air conditioning had a mind of its own. Not so much the staff, but the maintenance. The elevators were in horrible condition and weren't all working. The food for the most part besides breakfast was edible.

The staff at Riu were amazing! So friendly and helpful. We had an amazing vacation! We enjoyed the shows and the entertainment during our stay. The rooms and restaurants have very good AC. My only issue was the food labeling at the buffet. Often they were not matching with the food below them. As someone with dietary restrictions it was difficult to know if I could eat the food or not. Otherwise, the food was pretty good.

Hello, I am writing to formally report an issue with my recent stay. I booked and paid for a specific resort, but upon arrival I was informed it was overbooked. I was then moved to a different resort that did not match the quality, amenities, or experience of what I originally purchased. This change was made without prior notice and without offering comparable accommodations. It significantly impacted the value of my trip and the overall experience I paid for. Given that I did not receive the resort or level of service that I booked, I am requesting appropriate compensation, which may include a partial refund or credit, to reflect the difference in value and the inconvenience caused. One of the staff was really rude to me and a few of my friends that was trying to order drinks. if you didn't speak their language, you got treated different. It was stinking thru out the whole resort and not to mentioned I got food poisoning from eating a hot dog in the sports bar that they put out for the guest at night. I'm still recovering. I paid for an excursion and was unable to go due to me being sick. That was my second time there and got sick. never again will i go back to the DR.

The air conditioning wasn’t working I told them they didn’t come and fix it I was hot every night It time to go sleep, also bugs were flying around in the rooms buzzing in my ear while trying to sleep. I was celebrating my birthday and did not get a banner on my door or anything signaling that. Very big hotel, just not very good service .

Worst hotel stay ever. The resort smells like mildew and the beds were covered in ants. We were told the rooms were “newly renovated” which was not that case. The only restaurants on site with edible food required reservations. I will not be returning.
