Okay it was the room I had roaches, bugs on the sheets… everytime they changed the sheets it came back with either makeup stain The walls everything was sweaty. It had my room stink!! Smelled like MOLD, the shower head was MOLDY The ac vent machine leaks on people !!!!! & staff never knock they jus WALK IN!!!

The rooms are dated, and the service was lackluster—if you don't tip upfront at meals, don't expect much attention. We had no hot water one day (with zero communication from the hotel about it), and the hot tub was cold. When I pointed this out, the staff didn't care. Worst of all, I left an item behind and have been trying to contact them to get it back, but they are ignoring my messages. It’s clear they don’t care about the guest experience once you’ve checked out. I won't be back. I used to be loyal to Riu, but this stay at Riu Republica changed my mind.
