The resort is beautiful but getting worn down which can be seen in the chipped paint, the quick patch work here and there. However, that did not impact our stay. Our room was so much bigger than expected and very nice with two queen beds and a huge separate sitting area with balcony. However, as expected in humid climates where the a/c turns off when exiting the room, the room smelled stuffy and moist. Ask for a dehumidifier (they arranged for one immediately) and after a day or so the smell was completely gone. The beach is beautiful, the staff always smiles, the buffet had plenty of options, the restaurants were great, the pool was so fun with music and activities. It was a great vacation.

Overall it was a good experience. Few things to improve upon. The front desk guy who checked us in had a high accent and was a bit rude when asked to repeat. The buffett service waiters couldn't handle the peak holiday surge.

We had a wonderful time at Ocean El Faro. Kevin did such a wonderful job ensuring we had dinner reservations and daily check ins. The staff are very warm and welcoming so it made our stay pleasant. The resort itself is very beautiful. The pool, waterpark & lazy river was a hit for our family and 2 children. The beach was good, but the condition of water wasn’t stable when we visited so we weren’t able to use it. It’s also smaller than what you would normally expect, which makes sense why they put so much effort into ensuring the pools are large and a lot to do. The arcade isn’t free so that was a bit of a let down for us and our room was nice, but it had a strong odour. I’m not sure if they painted or did some work to it prior. I would give it a 5 star, however I was a little disappointed with the overall presentation of the room and felt like it needed some fixes including our fridge and water pressure in the shower. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and how beautiful the resort is. The dining experiences and sitting outside with such a great view was a definite highlight for us. We also just wish the nightly entertainment wasn’t so late because we weren’t able to participate since our youngest was way too tired by that time. I would definitely recommend you taking the time to visit this resort though! You will love it 😊

The hotel is great, the food was good. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is like 20 minutes from Barvaro. Thank you to Reinaldo Sanchez for the great hospitality. He was so attentive to our needs, make reservations for us, and always willing to help. Thank you to Deisy from el Mercado and Berenice and entire team from the coffee shop. So nice and making sure we had what we need. We had a great time and would love to come back.

The room was amazing, the staff work hard and consistently to keep the place clean! The food was great too since they’re so many options. We had our own Guest Experience Specialist, Reinaldo Sánchez, who honestly made everything so much easier, reservations, questions, activities, he’s so kind and helpful and we were so glad to have his support throughout the trip! Would love to visit again!

Fantastic place! Our Expedia specialist, Reinaldo was so helpful! He made sure we had everything we needed, booked our reservations for dinner each day and answered any questions I had promptly. This hotel was great- everything included! Food and drinks were great- sports bar is the place to go to get great cocktails. The Steakhouse was our favorite restaurant but we enjoyed them all (except for Dolce Vita) Sakura is a hibachi grill- great experience. The only negative we have is that there are not a lot of lunch options, no where to pick up any quick snacks and the resort has people selling excursions and items on the main strip and at the beach.

TEN OUT OF TEN ALL AROUND! From the moment we walked in the door to this moment,of reflection, Ocean El Faro made us feel like VIP guests. When we got to Ocean, we were greeted warmly by Eduardo and then Yeison's smile and patience as he got us checked in. We also met Fermin, who is one of the best! He speaks five languages and will do anything for anyone. Just when you think it can't get any better, we met our butler for the week, Jose Miguel. WOWWWW! Since we had a group of 14 for my mother's 80th birthday celebration, we stayed in Privilege Suites which comes along with a personal butler to help you with your every need. Jose arranged everything for us and helped us with things we didn't even know we needed! The resort is very large with SO many perks. It can be overwhelming at first because there is so much to do! Jose made everything incredibly easy and accessible. Our group consisted of ages 9 to 80, and we came with various needs. My mom doesn't get around easily and Jose made sure we had trams picking us up and dropping us off whenever she needed it. Jose made dinner reservations for us every night so that we could try out all of the restaurants. He made sure my mom got a beautiful birthday cake for the day of her party! Jose greeted us every morning with a daily agenda of activities, and a time for dinner. He came to see us every day. Our experience was truly unforgettable and we are so grateful to the staff at Ocean. Unbeatable!

Amazing Adults-Only Getaway at Ocean El Faro (El Beso Side) We stayed at Ocean El Faro in Punta Cana, on the El Beso adults-only, all-inclusive side, and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. The food and alcohol were fantastic for an all-inclusive resort. We highly recommend the steakhouse, the teppanyaki restaurant, and Pez Dama for lunch — all were consistently delicious and well worth visiting. The coffee shop, Mike’s, is absolutely amazing; while there can be a bit of a wait at times, it’s understandable given how large and popular the resort is. The ice cream station is also top-notch and such a fun treat throughout the day. What really makes this resort stand out is the staff — they are absolutely incredible. Everyone is friendly, attentive, and genuinely wants to make your stay special. The architecture and interior design of the hotel are beyond gorgeous; everywhere you look feels modern, luxurious, and thoughtfully designed. The beach is okay, but we definitely recommend spending beach time on the adults-only side, which we found to be better and more relaxing. The pool scene and entertainment are a solid 10/10. There is always something happening: yoga at 9am, games at 11am, aerobics at noon, and we even did a foam party, which was an absolute blast and a highlight of our trip. Nighttime entertainment is exceptional — lively, fun, and never boring. We will definitely be back!! Absolutely a wonderful time!
