Food was terrible. Poor presentation, no flavor, and long wait times for non reservation restaurants. The restaurants that require reservations requested that you reserve a table in the morning at 7/8am which is insane cause who is waking up a 7am on vacation to make dinner reservations. The buffets were also terrible food looked like it’s been sitting out for days and long lines at ready to order stations. We had to go off the resort to get good food or we would’ve starved. The hotel staff at the beach and pools harassed us all day to book excursions. My husband and I couldnt relax for more the 10 minutes without someone looking to sell us an excursion package. They don’t offer early check in options so if you get there before 3pm they will have you wait hours before getting a room and settling in from a long day of travel. Even when we requested to pay extra to check in early they had NO rooms available for the entire 2 hours we waited in the lobby with airport clothes in. The only good things about the resort is that’s it’s aesthetically pleasing. The resort property is beautiful and the rooms were great. Unfortunately that’s the only compliment I can give the resort.

There were couple stuff members that were just amazing. Diana and Tomas at Mike's coffee shop,room cleaning lady forgot the name,and one of the beach bar female bartender(forgot name)

The staff is not very friendly and it can be hard to get basic service such as beach towels, water and napkins at the buffet and it can be hard to communicate with staff if you do not speak Spanish. Bartenders will highly prioritize Spanish speakers and loud Americans. The resort does not have a lot of activities to do and the shows are short and late. The resort is not very accessible for elderly or disabled people as it is a very long walk to the restaurants, no elevators, inconsistent access to get a ride with the service shuttle. The staff are very persistent trying to get you to book excursions and massages or pay for photography, they even called our room at 8:45 am on two occasions when we’re trying to sleep in. The beach vendors will constantly harass you to buy their goods and become visibly and verbally upset when you don't. Reservations appear like they don’t matter because it’s first come, first serve anyways. The food is average—some nights are good, some are just okay. The maids are good at keeping the room clean but the beverage guy is not very consistent when it comes to restocking the mini fridge. The menu at “ocean eats” is below average but the delivery guy is fast and friendly.

Our overall impression of Ocean Blue and Sand was that it is a well-run resort with plenty of staff. We especially liked the ground which were beautiful and well-kept. The staff were efficient and helpful. The food was very good and the coffee shop was superb. There was also plenty of entertainment, although it was virtually all Spanish-orientated. Another big plus for us (we are in our 70s) was the circular teams that run all around the resort. The beach is gorgeous and the pools are very nice too. My only gripe would be that it was impossible for us to dine in the Steakhouse restaurant unless you paid extra and booked the "Privilege" package even though the steakhouse was in theory open to everyone. Despite our gripe about the steakhouse, I would give Ocean Blue and Sand 9.5 stars out of 10 and would visit again.

This place is amazing especially for the price beach beautiful and 2 large pools with lots of seating and option for shade. The food at the buffet was the best food I’ve eaten at an all inclusive in Dominican highly recommend visiting Ocean Blue and Sand
