I really wanted to give our stay five stars but the problems we had our last day of vacation, and Excellence's and Seasons Transfers Punta Cana lack of response after contacting them twice, overshadowed our whole trip. Excellence misled us on the travel arrangements back to the airport. I paid for a Season's trip back to the airport, but instead received a ride with "Soloman Truck" (I only know that because of the wifi service). Excellence's baggage handler kept telling us for an hour was 5 minutes away. When a car finally did show up we were led us to believe this was a Season's service and was never told about the switch. The vehicle had tears in the upholstery and had engine problems- at one point the vehicle actually stalled. My guests and I felt unsafe in that car. I asked to be reimbursed for the ride to the airport but never heard back from Excellence or Seasons. I will not be returning to that resort. However, the servers and the recreation personnel were very friendly and accomodating.

I felt that, although the staff tried at times, they were generally not very accommodating. I’m not sure why, but the overall service fell short of expectations. The food was disappointing at most of the restaurants, and the hibachi restaurant was booked out for days, which was frustrating. For a resort of this size, the only consistently good options were the main kitchen/breakfast buffet and the ice cream shop. Our room also had serious cleanliness issues—there were long hairs all over the bathroom, and we even found a roach in there, which was completely unacceptable. To add to the frustration, we called to have our bags picked up and no one ever came. Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay, especially considering the cost. This experience did not reflect the value I expected.

What an incredible experience at Excellence Punta Cana. The minute my wife and I pulled up to the resort and saw the beautiful lobby with the ocean backdrop we knew made had made the right decision booking here. The service was excellent. There was large amount of staff. Everyone was very friendly and provided immaculate service. My wife and I will definitely be back.

This resort is absolutely stunning, and I highly recommend it. Having stayed at Excellence Oyster Bay in Jamaica last year, I was hoping for a similar experience here—and I was not disappointed.We booked the Excellence Club package, and check-in was quick and seamless. While I didn’t receive an upgrade through my Expedia status due to the hotel being at full capacity, I was offered a beach bungalow for a day, which was a thoughtful gesture. Raudy, our Excellence Club concierge, was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful. He even arranged a late checkout to accommodate our airport transfer, which we greatly appreciated.One note: there’s no visible distinction between Excellence Club and non-club guests (no bracelets or markers), so anyone could technically access the club beach and pool areas. That said, the Magna restaurant alone makes the Excellence Club worthwhile—the food was superb. The rooms are spacious, modern, and beautifully updated. Our Garden View Junior Suite offered a serene and relaxing outlook. The pools are massive, pristine, and well-maintained. The ocean was often rough, with the red flag raised most days due to high winds, but the pool areas more than made up for it. Dining was a highlight overall. Agave delivered an exceptional dinner—the fish tacos were truly unforgettable, paired with excellent service. The Lobster House, however, was underwhelming; only lobster tails were served, unlike the full lobster offered at Excellence Oyster Bay

Overall had a nice stay here. Staff was very friendly, it was quiet and relaxing, and the property was clean and up kept well. I’m not a big all-inclusive person but needed a relaxing break without having to think and this was a good resort to do so. I also felt safe in the resort which was very nice since I was solo and didn’t feel completely awkward as it was very couples heavy. Cons: - I didn’t like the constant push for reviews and feedback right there on the spot from the staff and from the vendors pushing for excursions and photos with animals on the beach - The food was mediocre as well as alcohol choices (I understand it’s an AI resort but oof) - Service was inconsistent at the restaurants depending on who served you. At one of the lunch spots, the hostess ignored me until someone mentioned to her I was waiting - Housekeeping was also inconsistent - one day my room didn’t seem fully cleaned as there were still dishes from room service in the cupboard from the night before - Pool was a bit colder than anticipated but otherwise it was lovely
