Very well maintained property, with a beautiful beach. There was some sargassum on a couple of days, but they were working really hard to remove it. Staff is what makes this property excellent. They were kind, helpful, personable, and genuinely trying their best to make us feel spoiled. From housekeepers to waiters and bartenders and members of the entertainment team, they all did their best to ensure we had a great vacation! A few names worth mentioning are: Hanser (breakfast, set up chez isabelle for us), Estevinsion (who whooo), Robinson, Irenise (housekeeping) and Yari, Carlos, and Miss Kayla from the entertainment team. You are the reason why we will return!

The property is a superb value for an all inclusive stay with all of the perks and amenities. I booked a room with two double bed and upon check in was given a king. The staff quickly got a room with two doubles ready with our check in items and had us upgraded to a different building. There are a lot of daily activities which you can participate in or avoid if you want more quiet and seclusion. Everything was clean and the staff were all amazing. The restaurants were good but not 5star. The Grill was our favorite even though it was only open every other night. The beach area was nice with more than enough umbrellas and beds for everyone so no need to rush out in the am and save a spot like some resorts. The beach had an exorbitant amount of seaweed washing ashore our entire stay (not sure if this was just a seasonal event?) which the staff endlessly tried to tackle but it prevented us from wanting to bathe in the sea. Our vacation was wonderful and would recommend Excellence el Carmen!

So, a ton of 5 star reviews here. I just can’t do it. Room flooded twice with hot tub shutoff broken. Beach extreme seaweed, and not great smell. Food and service were 5+ stars

Beautiful extremely clean resort. Most of the staff very friendly. The massage at the spa was fantastic. The pool area was very clean. The beach was nice and well maintained. The food was very good and the drinks were great. Our room was beautiful and the maid service was fantastic. Always clean towels. It was exactly what we were looking for a peaceful restful vacation.

The staff is absolutely amazing! If you want a great server, Jenny Victor and Carlos are your go to servers. Entertainment, Kayla, Mini Cooper and Carlos are the best. Tons of things ti do at the resort. Our jacuzzi in room and at bldg 6 was broken. The food this time wasnt very good. After eating at Spice i got sick for 2 days. They cancelled the Dominican dinner due to low capacity but the shows were great

Absolutely amazing stay at Excellence El Carmen! From the stunning grounds to the world-class service, everything exceeded our expectations. It's the staff, in particular, who truly make this resort a five-star experience, and we wanted to give a special shout-out to some of the incredible entertainers. Yari was an absolute highlight! We started our mornings feeling refreshed and centered thanks to her wonderful yoga classes. Her positive energy is infectious, and we also loved her creative bracelet-making sessions. It was the perfect way to relax and take home a special memento of our trip. For all the sports enthusiasts out there, Twenty One is your guy! He brought so much enthusiasm to every game and activity. His energy and encouragement were a blast and made the various sports tournaments so much fun. Our evenings were always exciting thanks to Mini Cooper. He kept the energy high with fantastic dancing and brought the competitive spirit to our poker nights. His entertaining personality made every night a memorable one. And a huge thank you to Carlos for making volleyball so much fun! He organized incredible games and his passion for the sport was contagious. He is a true master of creating a fun and engaging atmosphere on the court. The entire team made our vacation unforgettable.
