Upon arrival we were not given the room that we booked through Expedia ie ocean view. The clerk indicated this was an upgrade that we were getting. When we went to the room it was cool side with no view whatsoever. After complaining again to the front desk they indicated that was all they had. I then called Expedia to in turn called the property, and the next day Ronaldo showed us to a ocean front room. Let me state that during the entire visit that over half of the staff did not treat us well as in many times ignoring our requests for additional towels or rides to another place on the property. I found most of them to be very rude. I don't know if it was because I was an American but I did try to speak Spanish as much as I could. Would not recommend this property to anyone

This was my third year at iberostar Punta Cana. The location is beautiful and the resort still offers great value for the money. However, they were a few nitpicks that kept me from rating everything all fives. Firstly, the resort is old enough that it's starting to show a little wear and tear. There were pieces of tile chipped off the floor near our mini bar. The bathrooms lack any ventilation for steam such that after showering water is dripping down the bathroom door and down the mirror. The bathroom door had actually started delaminating at the bottom from the moisture. We took scuba lessons in the main pool, which was cloudy and contain lots of leaves and other debris scurrying around the bottom. Restaurant service, while generally above average, was slow at times. They seemed a bit understaffed. For example, at breakfast they would often be four or five tables waiting to be bussed and reset. The beach is wonderful, with lots of tiki shades and umbrellas. However, there are a lot of vendors wandering the beach and approaching you every few minutes. So many of them that the same individuals will approach you multiple times asking for a sale. Cigars, excursions, knick-knacks, pictures with a parrot, jewelry, leg massages. This parade of Interlopers does little to help you relax. The general service level is excellent. However, I noted that fewer of the staff are fluent in English than in past years. All that said, I would gladly stay here again.

Great week. I would love to come back. My 2 teen daughters are celiac (gluten free) and Kayla (and Gil) really look after them with their food. Gluten free waffles and pancakes every morning. Regarding entertainment Coco Channel was great!

The hotel was amazing and the staff was super friendly. This was a birthday trip for my wife and everything was excellent! We enjoyed every second of our stay here. Some reviews were concerning regarding staff continuously offering a presentation for time share. This only happened once when we arrived, we were never approached again. Definitely recommend this hotel and would book here again.

Foods are not exceptional other than the stackhouse restaurent. I expected to delicious foods for being a 5 star resort. Drinks are also okay, nothing crazy. Stuffs are good and friendly. Coral level experience with the pool access and ocean front room is amazing. Lots of activities for kids too. Beach is also super clean.
