We stayed at Ambar Bahia Principe in Punta Cana and had a great experience. The resort was beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. The adults-only atmosphere made it feel peaceful and relaxing. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the swim-up pool access was a highlight. The food had a good variety, and the à la carte restaurants were definitely worth booking. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, it was a wonderful getaway and we would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing, all-inclusive vacation.

Overall a great resort. Stayed in a swim up room which was great. The beach is great and they work hard to keep it clear of seaweed. Plenty of food drink options. Connection to all of the other Bahia areas makes for good walking and more food/bar options. Critiques - the evening entertainment is basic and sometimes fun but in generally tacky so kinda fun. But for the love of god find some more variety of music…I heard the ymca, bob jovi, etc over and over and over and over and over. Also, the resort does good to have entertainment by the pool, but the obnoxious nature and overly loud music cheapens the pool vibe so we found it best to not go to the pool but rather to the ocean. As for cocktails, make sure to specify brand names otherwise you get very cheap alcohol that, well, is probably not something you want.

The employees are so nice and welcoming. The resort is very safe and the staff is very warm. The pool/ beach/ bars/ restaurants are all wonderful. Although cats fighting at night woke me up, the room is large and well kept. Each room has a balcony which is so nice. Housekeeping does a great job maintaining the room and checking back at night. Will stay again for sure!

Luxury Ambar is in a league of its own! From the beautiful lobby with a welcoming scent and aesthetic, to the INCREDIBLE staff, we had an amazing experience. The entertainment team was beyond EXCELLENT and the food options were endless. We especially loved the Plyamar buffet for every meal .. it had more options every day than we could even try! Special shout out to Francisco who always greeted us with a kind smile at the bellhop station, Miguel in the dining room in Plyamar who was fantastic and so kind and to Mauro, Bryan and Alfredo with the entertainment team who remembered us from day one and always made our experience fun in the pool and taught us how to dance the bachata! We would LOVE to come back and recommend this resort to anyone who wants a seamless and beautiful experience!

Food is decent, staff are very friendly. The room was lackluster. Yes it looked nice but for being 5 start it didn’t feel that special. It smelled like mildew when you first walk in, the shower had paint flaking and the rain shower didn’t work properly. The bed was very firm, probably more comfortable to sleep on the grass outside. The walkways and other resorts are kept nice and clean outside. The beach is beautiful but is ruined by the people trying to sell you a dolphin tour or someone literally brushing your feet off as you sunbathe looking for a tip. We fount ourselves staying by the pool which is definitely the best part of the trip. Bar staff and entertainment team are wonderful and met a lot of people from all over the world. Overall a great trip but don’t think I’d return.

The property definitely shows signs of wear and tear and does show its age. The rooms are clean enough but luxurious would be an overstatement. The staff made up most of the feeling with Diana and Julio at the front desk. They were amazingly helpful. The buffet staff, from Ramon, Wanda, Luis, Jose Pujol y Pablo were also very attentive and good spirited. We were lucky to not be drinkers because the drinks were overly sweet and watered down. That’s to be expected I guess. Overall an 8/10.

The main pool definitely needs upgrading tiles were missing and needs to be kept cleaner. The facecloth situation needs to be rectified. We were told there weren’t any quite a few days. Also the body soap and shampoo need to be better quality and refilled often.

The Bahia Pricipe Luxury Ambar is the best of all the Resorts we have visited in The Dominican Republic. Theres is a unique friendly enviroment since you enter the property. The Staff at the reception, Miss Aridia and Mr. Orlando, both go out of their ways to please you. The Restaurants Manager, Mr. Cesar, always giving you the best service and posible attention. This was my 12th stay at a Bahia resort in Punta Cana, mostly staying at the Ambar. We enjoy and feel safe at this esort complex. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming, the complex is well maintained and the food is excellent.

Resort was clean, staff were friendly and welcoming. Many activities to choose from, wristband system works very well. Rooms were always cleaned well and attention to detail was paid. Food was great and variety was sufficient, perhaps adding more food choices to room service? Would recommend.

I liked our room. Loved the pool in Ambar. Getting around is not great. The food is mass quantities of mediocre food. Considering the resort relies on tourists the lack of English speaking staff causes frustration. The tennis courts are terrible and not located in an accessible location.

Beautiful property and very well maintained. Very good food in buffets and most restaurants - Italian restaurant was the only one really not good. Beach has some seaweed but so do all the other beaches in the area. Grounds of hotel were well maintained.

The resort is awesome. This resort in particular is right on the beach. It was easy to get around and had plenty of restaurants to visit. We tried a different restaurant every night, except we went to Limbo the last two nights in a row. There was nearly constant entertainment from the entertainment crew. Some very good experiences from the team. Obviously, with a large venue like this, there's always room for improvement. The beach seaweed on our first day there was immaculate. There was zero seaweed, but every day after, there was quite a lot. They were physically picking it up, and, understandably, you cannot get it all.
