We checked out of this resort within 15 minutes of checking in. The room itself was clean but the buildings were kind of dated looking. There was no kind of view from our room and I knew that I wouldn’t be comfortable there for the week. We also had my parents traveling with us and they were underwhelmed with their room as well. We paid to upgrade to the Luxury sister resort next door, Bougainville and it was worth every penny! We had a lovely room with a beautiful view. The facilities and service were more to my standards of travel. I would return the luxury resort again.

Staff was nice, but not all were familiar with the roles they were playing. It seemed like there was a lot of expectations on them that they might not be ready for. Example, a waiter upselling steaks for a dinner but isn't familiar with the various ways of cooking the steak. The beach was very dirty and trashy when you walked beyond the boundary of the property, which isn't very far. You can see the trash from the property. The property itself was kept clean.

My stay at Bahia Principe was a great experience overall. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. I especially loved the swim-up bar—it made relaxing by the pool even better. Breakfast each morning was delicious with plenty of fresh options to choose from. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

El hotel es bonito y limpio, pero el trato del personal deja mucho que desear. Noté una gran diferencia: si eres extranjero, te atienden mejor; si eres local, la atención es distante y a veces indiferente. Fue difícil conseguir información y orientación dentro del hotel, y mi cena de cumpleaños se entregó a otra mesa y llegó completamente cruda. La única experiencia positiva fue en el spa, donde el personal fue amable. En general, el hotel necesita mejorar mucho la atención al cliente.

My stay at Bahia Principe Grand La Romana was very relaxing and enjoyable. Overall the entertainment was great as well as dining and excursion options. I would highly recommend this resort to others!
