Lovely 2 bedroom holiday home located right in the centre of Pukenui. Walking distance to the wharf, 4 Square, Liquor Shop, Cafe, Houhora Big Game Fishing Club and minutes drive to Cape Reinga and some of the best beaches in NZ. My stay was perfect, the house has a very warm and homely feel to it, which made it quite comfortable and relaxing. The location was also very acessable and easy find. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend. I also want to say the host was extemely kind and helpful, she helped return my neclace that I left behind. Great location to explore the top end of Northland as easy access to the Cape, the dunes, ninety mile beach and the gumdigger park without having a super long day. Everything was seamless from checkin to checkout, was well appointed and comfortable, and a location with easy access to a cafe/bar and grocery store until 8pm. Shell Cottage could easily be called home for more than the one night we had time for.

Shell Cottage is a lovely cottage, perfect location to base yourself for touring the far north, and right beside the 4Square, takeaways, pub...Very clean, well set up with all you need...Quick comms with the manager/owner when I msgd them (via book a bach app) after too. Definitely recommended- we will stay again if we ever stay up this way again

Great accommodation!!

The Shell Cottage was a perfect accommodation for us for a few days while we explored the Aupouri Peninsula. The cottage was very clean, well stocked with everything we needed and right next door to grocery, take away, restaurant - and liquor!! Also loved walking down to the wharf every morning and at sunset to watch to world go by. Lisa was a great host and was very responsive to any questions we had. Would definitely recommend!!
