Nice place to stay, close to restaurants and with very friendly staff. They also offer breakfast if ordered the night before. The only problem for me was the shower, it got so hot mid shower that it burned my foot, so you have to keep an eye on it, my family was ok.

The owner of the property let us check in early and check out late. She also provided a great breakfast every morning including homemade breads and fruit juices. She also helped us with our excursions and hailing taxis. Very nice host with pride of ownership.

Note that this review is based on a father and 5yr old son travelling in the Galapagos Islands. We really enjoyed our stay amd time there. Our host, Anna, was very friendly and welcoming. The place itself is clean, run well, and the room was spacious enough for two people - there were actually three comfortable beds in the room. If you are travelling to the island of Isabela with or without children, you should seriously consider this hostel / hotel. It is a 15 minute walk from the ferry, close to the beach 5mins, all the main cafes and eateries 5mins, and tour guides / operators.

The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. Nobody is there from 12-3 if you are trying to check in during that time. Staff are helpful.

We had a lovely stay at Hostal las Gardenias! The location is ideal - 15 min walk or quick taxi from the ferry dock, two blocks from the beach, and right in the heart of town. The lady at the front desk is so nice, and made us feel very welcome. The rooms are very clean, nice beds, with good AC. The breakfast is tasty, with coffee, juice, fruit, bread and jam, cheese, and eggs. The wifi doesn't quite reach the rooms, but is very strong in the common areas, and there are tables there if you need to get some work done. We would absolutely stay here again!
