We had an excellent time here as a young group from Canada. Beautiful modern property and lots of staff always around the premises ready to assist. Buffet food is the best I’ve had out of all the resorts I’ve been to in Mexico. Private ocean and 2 pools (although the pools are quite cold). I can’t really think of anything negative about this resort. Rooms are also modern and big. Lots of activities and entertainment throughout the day

This resort is gear towards locals. Highlight was seeing whales everyday. They need more restaurants and would be nice if they had loungers on beach. Alfredo the waiter at breakfast was the best ever and best staff of the resort. The omelette lady ( can’t remember her name) made the best omelettes.

Beautiful property, beautiful room, nice entertainment options. What I didn’t like — the food was incredibly bland, there are no lounge chairs actually on the beach and you have to get downstairs about 6:30 in the morning to get a chair by the pool that’s facing the beach. And it’s entirely too far from town. The food and the distance to town are probably deal breakers for me although my husband, who views food solely as fuel, may feel differently.

The rooms were very nice. But hotel very noisy in the evening as shows started at 9 pm. Food was terrible. Hot food was not hot and cheese and sausage trays not stored on ice. Only 2 small pools and only short beach to walk. Would only give it a 2 star rating.

Staff was some of the nicest, of my stays in Mexico. The biggest issues is staff are so eager tonplease they dont enforce rules. Example people placing towels on the very limited beach chairs for 5 hrs before they acually show up tonuse them. Food was average. Italian restaurant was enjoyable. Had the best salad bar.

This is a great resort for the budget with absolutely stunning ocean views . The resort has several amenities with excellent staff and service . The rooms are dated and could be better fitted but workable . Meals were good overall and choices were very good . I would return .

It was so awesome to have the pools and beach right outside the window. The Kids Club was great as well. The staff were all friendly and kind. It was nice to have different foods at the buffet and to have the snack area with hamburgers and hotdogs. Thank you!

I loved that this property was ocean front, and the beach was very clean and some what secluded. The one thing that needs a lot of work is the food. I never expect resort food to be good; but this was the absolute worse I’ve ever had from any resort. The only thing I was able to enjoy was the omelettes in the morning.

Language barrier was tough. Staff tried to be helpful at times, but i found lots of times someone didnt understand what i was saying so they just defered me to someone else. Also got overcharged at the souvenir store by $800 canadian for a bag of chips and chocolate bars. Wouldnt go back. Food selection was tough for having young kids with us and restaurants not opening for lunch until 1pm and dinner until 630pm was also tough on young kids

The beach was nice, small but nice. Although it didn’t get good sun till late in the afternoon. The rooftop lounge and pool helped. The food was good, but it would have been nice to have one more option. Some restaurants were only open for dinner and the snack bar by the pool had the same thing every day. Hot dogs and burgers.

I had a great experience with Park Royal Cancun so I trusted this brand. My mistake. This resort felt very inefficient. The food choices were horrible. They do not require reservations(or accept them) but there is frequently 1-2 hour waits to sit and eat at the ala carts. The pools are freezing and the beach, although beautiful is small. Because of the geography neither the pool or the beach recieves sun until late afteroon. Although there is a policy about saving chairs it is not enforced. The rooftop pool is fantastic but covered so again.. no sun. There is very little waitstaff working the pool areas offering beverages etc. There IS a bus stop right outside the resort making escape very easy and inexpensive. The city was a saving grace. The views from this location are exquisite. We were able to spot whales from our balcony regularly. If they could get their food service and options up to par this place would be worth a return (if you're scared of skin cancer) Will absolutely return to Puerto Vallarta. Will NOT return to Park Royal PV

Overall stay is good , just food quality is 3 out of 5 . Restaurant’ wait time was over 2 hours every night with very little options to go to . Most of the time the buffet was the only option .snack bar food was always cold , very stale fries and wouldn’t make fresh ones until stale ones were finished . Staff is friendly until they try to convince you for a timeshare/ vacation club that’s when they get pretty persistent , but overall staff is pretty helpful .

The sun doesn’t hit the beach until 1 or 2 pm. Staff were great!!! Food could be better.
