The snack area it’s very poor menu the service is poor and also they take to much time to service the food, my suggestion is they have to do like other hotels they put a buffet on the snack hour it’s more choices of food and faster for the clients it’s a suggestion only. Everything else is excellent in the hotel thank you and have a great Christmas and new year

I stayed at one of the rooms attached to the walkout pools. The room was an 8/10. It was modern, good AC, great bed. The property was beautiful 10/10. Food was a 5/10, nothing special, and expected from an all inclusive. The reason for the 3 star, is due to the staff. The staff did not seemed well trained in hospitality. They would gather amongst themselves and many time ignore the patrons. For example, you could enter a restaurant and wait 10 minutes for someone to greet you, even after they can see you. I have stayed at several hotels in DR, in Puerto Plata and Punta Cana, and usually what makes the hotels stand out whether it’s a 3 star or 5 star has always been it’s wonderful staff. This was not the case for this hotel and it was seen in all areas of the hotel.

This is the worst hotel in puerto plata. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, not even to my worst enemy. Food is horrible, sloppy, nasty, drinks in general horrible as well. Rooms are not like they show on app or videos in social media's. Room electricity work with a card and if one of the room service staff need a light card they will literally go in any room without knocking,grab it and leave you without electricity. It happened to me !!! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL .👎

The only issue I had was not being given an offer for a room upgrade which I wanted for my son and his fiance as I booked for them. The Senator is a beautiful hotel with clean rooms and pools, lots of fresh food and the Japanese a la carte was delicious.

Room was ok,Staff was pleasent, pools and beach were awesome. Food and drinks were inconsistent and all bars seemed to run out of various drinks every day Bartenders were friendly but did not mix drinks the same day to day. Japanese ala carte was good, but was disappointed with both the italian and steakhouse restaurants. Coffee shop was very good,and the legands bar food was decent.

Room was clean and the staff in every department was very friendly! The workers actually remembered that we stayed there before. The swim up room is the best!!! They sang happy birthday to my husband at the steakhouse. The sports bar is open all night so when we got there at 10:30pm we were still able to eat and drink. I will continue to make reservations with this resort!!!

This is definitely not a 5 star resort Room was old. Mould in shower. Shower got clogged a few times Restaurants were in poor shape. Looked very low budget. Staff tried to rip me off a few times gouging prices for taxi and room booking

We booked a two-night stay at this resort in Puerto Plata, and unfortunately our experience went downhill quickly. The first day started off fine -the pool was clean, and the food was decent. However, things changed from there. Staff tried to convince us to sign up for a “membership,” claiming it was specifically for Expedia guests, which turned out to be untrue. Our room had multiple issues: lights didn’t work, there was no hot water, and after housekeeping came, we were left with no towels. It was extremely uncomfortable. We also had a terrible dining experience. The hibachi restaurant was honestly garbage - the food was burnt and tasted awful. The steakhouse wasn’t any better; the “steak” didn’t even taste like real steak. We were so disappointed that we ended up leaving a full day early. I would not recommend this resort and definitely won’t be returning.
