My husband and I were bitten by bedbugs and did not realized it until the last day of our stay unfortunately . When we contacted management and shown them the marks on our legs ( which is obvious signs of bedbugs bites ) they came into the room to pretend they checked the bed and told us we must have got it outside at the beach because the bed is new and they never had this happen in 20 yrs in this facility . Really ??? Talking about being dishonest and shifting the blame ...no apology or what so ever. I was very dissatisfied since this was an our wedding anniversary trip . I'm not sure how management is run here.

The father’s 80th birthday

The resort is very good the staff is very friendly, the food was good and fresh the place is clean the rooms are a bit outdated but clean. It was my father’s 80th birthday with 65 people family and friends. Everyone one had a great time. The only issue was with my reservation I needed to change my reservation because I went a day earlier and checked inn with sister so I had to change my reservation to my wife’s name I had emailed hotels.com to make the change and they emailed me back telling me that I could make those changes at the hotel but the hotel didn’t want to change the reservation because they said that they can’t make changes to a reservation that are not directly booked through their website after a long back and forth it was worked out

the workers are not super friendly, but not rude either, most of them are just normal. the real issue is management or i guess their way of running things. check in is a mess and they send an email saying we can use online check in and asking what time we will arrive but upon arrival let us know check in is at 12 and we get the rooms at 3. then we went back at 3:30 for the room keys and they said we had to wait even longer. also mentioned that we wouldn’t be able to do reservations for dinner since we’re only staying 2 days but that was the part we were most looking forward to and this was not previously communicated to us. they resolved most of the issue for us so it wasn’t terrible but definitely more stressful and not as relaxing as it should have been as we constantly had to speak to the front desk to resolve issues. the food was good and typically fresh and the resort itself is nice and clean enough, cups or utensils were often times a little dirty but other than that the resort was clean.

Some of the staff was excellent like my concierge (Miguel) and other staff member were a bit rude and inattentive. The pool area was clean on the outside but the pool itself might need a better filtration system there was a lot on debris in the pool and some hair floating around. Also they offered very little activities at the pool or in the resort period. The music played at the pool was one dimensional, I like bachata but 24hrs a day at pool side was a bit depressing. Should play a variety of music to tend to all patrons. Also there were many locals at the resort and staff seemed to pay more attention to them than other patrons. The room was very well kept, my room was very clean and well stocked. Also had a problem when my son checked in, they lost his luggage and wasn’t able to track it down. It wasn’t till a patron who accidentally grabbed his bag alerted the front desk. We then had to follow him to his room to retrieve the luggage. If he hadn’t shown up who knows how long we would’ve waited. Also the resort offered 4 dining options, 3 restaurants and a buffet. Little did we know you that on most days 2 of the 3 restaurants were closed, leaving very little variety and also not many reservations. Lastly there was very little entertainment at night, I’ve been many resort and they usually offer shows or other activities. They were limited to a dj and a band. Sadly I will not return to this resort again.

Some of the staff were great while others are lacking. They lost our luggage and didn’t notify us of anything going on for an hour and 45 mins. The only way we found our luggage was a fellow vacationer took luggage by accident and we linked up with them as they were letting the front desk know. Dining options were limited and those limited options were closed on some of the days. They offered not activities at the pool or otherwise. No shows at night only a dj or band. Food was also not great. Also the resort became more or a hangout for the locals, who were rude and a bit rowdy. The staff sometimes catered to them More than the vacationing patrons. Also music at pool was literally one dimensional same music all day, no variety. Room was clean and my concierge Miguel was great.

Rating: 2/10 Honestly one of the worst resort experiences I’ve ever had. We got there early, but still had to wait over an hour past check-in to get our room. When we finally got access, we realized we were on the old side of the resort that’s under construction. We didn’t even mind that but the shower was full of mold and the room looked like it hadn’t been wiped down in weeks. We complained and got moved to another room, but that one was somehow worse. The power cut out, there were roaches in the bathroom, ants crawling on the floor, and stains on both beds. Housekeeping didn’t clean our room once the entire stay. Every morning we’d walk out and greet them to be ignored and see them hanging around in groups chatting. There was a clear colorist energy going on, me and my group don’t speak fluent Spanish but we tried our best, and we were still ignored and brushed off. Meanwhile, lighter-skinned guests who also didn’t speak Spanish got full service and smiles. The difference was obvious. Only reason this place isn’t getting a 0/10 is because of the food and the two bartenders who actually treated us like people. Outside of that, everything else was just embarrassing. We still made the most of our trip off the resort, but this place? Definitely not going back.
