This was a very cute hotel with a balcony, hot shower, and AC. The service at the front desk was very friendly and helpful! While our room rate didn’t come with breakfast, they provide coffee/tea and a water refill station in the lobby. Our room was clean, and we had a comfortable one-night sleep after a redeye. The only minor complaints were the WiFi, as it was a bit spotty at night, and the hot water— the temperature constantly changes, so you have to manage it between two knobs.

The hotel is clean and located very close to the pier, close to transportation, food and shopping. The best part is its customer service, they are friendly, helpful and flexible. The room was clean and comfortable, the only issue was the shower, it was a bit complicated to get it warm. We would stay here again.

Fantastic

This hotel far surpassed my expectations. The staff were SO nice and helpful. The room had great AC. There is a rooftop terrace for breakfast with great views of the bay, and a nice common area with a balcony, which again has great views. The property has 4 stories which means many of the rooms have views too. It's also basically as central as you can get. Highly recommend. Amazing value.

Asu and Carlos are so helpful and both ready to assist me with my needs. The hotel is clean, breakfast is amazing and the view is amazing. I booked the suite facing the port and loved every minute of my stay. I had the most nutritious and lovely breakfast on the rooftop and the shared spaces are really cool. I highly recommend this posada for a really great stay. There are nice little restaurants near the area and the shopping area is walkable. It's so convenient and you can have the best of everything.

We stayed at the Posada del Mar three different times during our month in the Galapagos and really enjoyed our visits. It is on a quiet street, yet conveniently located near restaurants, shops and the Puerto Ayora harbor. The delicious breakfast is served on the terrace overlooking the harbor. Our rooms were very comfortable and clean, with air conditioning, a private bathroom and lots of hot water. The staff is very friendly. Carlos and his wife were wonderful and let us store our luggage at the office during the hours between checkout and our ferry departures and arranged for a taxi to take us to the Baltra airport. Muchas gracias, Posada del Mar!

Our stay at Posada Del Mar was fantastic. Carlos is wonderful. He is great at his job and always went above and beyond to help our group out. The location is great and everything we wanted to do was easily walkable. Beautiful views and breakfast was wonderful.

Posada Del Mar is fantastic! A little gem in the middle of bustling Puerto Ayora. The property is clean and inviting and we loved the common areas with tables, kitchen, couches and working space and bonus- views of the harbor. The best part is the wonderful staff that went above and beyond to make our group feel welcome and help store some of our excess gear. This will be my go to place when visiting Galapagos in the future!

Wonderful service and wonderful people

The staff were extremely attentive and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay special. We left early, and they made sandwiches for us since we would miss breakfast. Beyond that, the town had a loud celebration one night we were there, and the hotel provided us warning and earplugs to help make our stay more comfortable. They really did a fantastic job overall.

Great location and value for a clean, safe and comfortable stay in Puerto Ayora. Good fresh breakfast on the rooftop with a great view to start the day. Owner Carlos is very helpful in recommendations and meeting guest needs. Our room was spacious and clean. Water refill station in common areas. Easy 5-7 minute walk to ferry and most restaurants within 10-15 minutes. We will return in a few days for another few nights.

Comfortable bed and good location

Staff were really warm and courteous, I arrived really early and was allowed to store my luggage. The room was spacious and had a balcony which was perfect for relaxing and drying snorkel gear if you got any too. Breakfast is a voucher for the restaurant next door - Lo Lo which was quite nice (you get a choice of american breakfast or can ask for Bolon). Had it once which was alright - still great value. The bed was comfortable and staff cleaned it daily. Also good location near the ferry terminal - 5 mins walk.

I can’t recommend this place highly enough. The property manager is an absolute gem, he helped with everything. Carried my bags, held my bags after checkout, returned something left in the room, flagged taxis from the main road, gave great directions on where to find things, offered me his own sunscreen, etc. This place is not the most fully featured hotel in Puerto Ayora (no pool for example) but for the price, I don’t think it can be beat. Shower, AC all worked great, balcony to watch the sun set, breakfast next door included was great, bed is absolutely massive. Would stay here again for sure.

Front desk was excellent. Property was well located. There are a lot of stairs, even the 1st floor will be up about 18 steps. If you want variety of breakfast options dont go with the included breakfast. Only two options American and Ecuadoran.
