Welcome to ‘Oceans’, this quaint 1200 sq. ft. home features 2 A/C bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and is the ideal getaway for couples or families with older kids who would like their own floor.
Enjoy stunning views of the clear turquoise waters as you step through the front door and snorkel on an exquisite reef just in front of the house, where turtles can be spotted.

Accommodation is on 3 floors.
The MIDDLE FLOOR is the main living area and consists of a sitting room, kitchen, full bathroom and covered dining / lounging patio
where you can relax and watch the spectacular sunsets.
The top and bottom floors consist of the bedrooms each on its own private floor.
The BOTTOM FLOOR offers of a spacious bedroom, sitting area, bathroom and laundry and
the TOP FLOOR is a loft style bedroom with its own private balcony and bathroom.

This casual, beachy home is fully furnished and burglar proofed with access through automatic gates and private parking.
A smart Tv with basic cable package and high speed wireless Internet are included.

LOCATION: The property has private beach access to the much desired West coast beaches of Barbados. Its a 5 minute walk to Fitts Village, a lovely fishing village where you will find a supermarket and local shops. For those of you who won’t have your own transport, we are located on the main bus route to both Bridgetown, Speightstown and Holetown . For the golf enthusiasts, golf is available at The Sandy Lane and Westmoreland clubs which are within a 10 minute drive. Nearby Holetown, offers a lovely selection of ocean front restaurants and both high end and local shops.

Note: The House does get some road noise.

Beautiful location the house has everything you need patio. Amazing. Just sit and watch the sea comfortable furnishings easy access to supermarket. Five minute walk you get a special seawall location with loungers. The host were amazing. Will be back.

Oceans was a very comfortable place to stay in Fitts village! The beds and lounge seating areas both inside and out were all fantastic!The kitchen was very well equipped and Debbie’s welcome pack very much appreciated when arriving late in the day!The private beach access and sun beds on sea wall fantastic and so peaceful!The other bonus was the provision of beach chairs, umbrellas, and picnic cool box which made our trips out extremely comfortable too!We would definitely like to return to this wonderful place!Thanks very much Debbie and Brian

Excellent exactly as advertised

Lovely spacious clean and very well appointed property. My adult son and I stayed for 5 days and really enjoyed the house. All details were accounted for by our hosts Debbie and Brian. We were greeted on arrival by Debbie who had already prepared a welcome basket of goodies and items in the fridge for a light meal. Very thoughtful, especially the outstanding rum punch. There were at least 3 restaurants within a 5 minute walk and were excellent. The grocery store is a 7 minute walk and has every possible food item you could want. Very nice neighbourhood overall.I know I like a place when I FEEL like it's my home after 24 hours. Lovely beach to enjoy the sunsets and every detail considered by the hosts. Loved our stay and will be back.

Wonderful Barbados Beach Cottage

Our stay in the Fitts Village Beach Cottage was wonderful. The beach and snorkling access is outstanding, and the area has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Our hosts were gracious, helpful and informative, and gave us great tips for attractions to not miss (Hunte's Gardens, Harrison's Cave, St Nicholas Abbey) and rum punch recipies. The accomodation are exactly as advertised with a great porch and roomy bedrooms with AC. There is some road / traffic noise, but we focused on the waves crashing on the beach a stones throw from the porch. Everyone in our group agreed that our stay here was too short, and would be comfortable returning for an extended vacation. We rented a car, and there is no place on the island that was too difficult to drive to. (Beware of some roads, and be ready to make quick decisions behind the wheel).

Spacious Bohemian Beach Vibe

Laid-back lattice work luxury; Shabby Chic in the Shade; Gracious Greetings. Pick your saying about this place. You'll be happy staying here to enjoy the relaxing vibe. Overall we enjoyed our one-week stay. We travel to the island often. We like this neighborhood for its convenience to the local market and quiet beaches. The house is not right on the water but with but only one house in front of us in the compound, it might as well be. The open-air main floor has a kitchen (and plenty of needed amenities), a living area, and a wrap-around balcony. A lot of space and latitude to lounge where you please. The air conditioning in the sleeping area was divine. The internet was fast and consistent. With only two of us staying, we didn’t use the bottom floor except for the laundry. The bed, the additional sofa-futon, and the additional living area downstairs were nice to have (but in our case, ultimately just for show) The en suite shower in the master bedroom leaked so we didn’t use it during our stay. That wasn’t a big problem for us since there are 2 other full baths on the main and bottom floors. I couldn't quite figure out if there was cable or some TV service included or if it was extra but I wasn't that interested in TV anyway. Debbie is a great host. She was available when we needed her. The welcome basket was a wonderful gesture. (Yum, Rum Punch!) Also, several nice going-out options nearby. For the price, we'd stay again and even bring friends next time.

Lovely experience

Really lovely experience host Debbie and husband were very welcoming excellent communication always on hand if we needed anything fantastic location with the sea and beach a few yards away able to watch sunset from balcony and veranda good for access to amenities restaurants city centre we hired a car but bus stop right outside property situated on main road so be prepared for occasional noise of traffic but that did not bother us Thanks Debbie

Fabulous Caribbean style house

We had a wonderful stay at Oceans, Debbie was lovely and gave us a great welcome pack and fabulous rum punch which was very much appreciated and made a great start to the holiday. There was everything you needed in the property plus more. We spent most of our time on the veranda which was a great place to relax out of the sun. We hired a car but it was close to super market and bus stop was right outside. We had a lovely relaxing holiday and would definitely go back again. And a great thank you to Debbie who was a great host.

Above and Beyond!!

Yes we could talk about cleanliness, attentiveness, even rum punch but what really stands out is the care and dedication Deb and Brian exude. Excellent location - excellent accomodations - Deb thinks of EVERYTHING anyone could need and has it provided. Truly felt like a home for our two week stay. Do follow the advice of other reviewers, they are spot on. If a little bird is patiently waiting while you eat breakfast, that is Jake. He will clean up your crumbs from the porch while you are at the beach! We even saw 7 Green Monkeys right in the yard, up to antics only monkeys can exhibit. Cheryl and Alan

A great place to stay

This was a fabulous base to explore Barbados. The house was exactly what we needed, was very well equipped and was in the perfect location. The hosts were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. We can't wait to return and would definitely stay there again.

NOT THE BEST CHOICE for our stay in Barbados

The owners were great and accommodated all of our requests. We hadn’t expected the heat and humidity of July and didn’t realize that the middle floor is open air at all times with mosquitoes/bugs able to come in and they only had standing fans. You are not able to close the windows and some doors are difficult to close easily. It wasn’t comfortable to be in that area. At night, the outside porch was the only cool place unless you were in the air conditioned bedrooms. We stayed 2 of our 13 nights that we booked due to the heat. Also not much view except the top floor. At high tide the beach was inaccessible. I would have stayed if it was a cooler time of year and we didn’t have any family with us. The bottom floor seemed stuffy and my sister in law said the bed was very uncomfortable. The reviews I read were great, with the only issue being the street noise. I really liked Debbie. She was very nice, and has some nice touches about the place. I was sorry it wasn’t a good place for us.

Sweet beach cottage

We had a wonderful stay at Oceans. Perfect location. Walking distance to grocery store and many places to eat. About 1/2 hr drive to many attractions in the area. For us the most important factor for this trip was to be on the water and Oceans did not disappoint. As stated in the listing this house is on a busy road so there is traffic noise. It did not bother us. Thanks again for opening up your home.

Just What We'd Hoped For

My cousin and I decided together that Oceans had everything on our wish list. Coming from different countries to meet up and not having traveled far before, it was a great decision. Not only did Oceans fulfill our dream spot in Barbados, but we also had hosts right next door who we could rely on to make sure we had a pleasant stay and give us information. Debbie also took us for a fabulous tour of about half the island. She clearly loves what she does. The accommodations were everything as described and more. The cottage is well appropriated with anything you might need. If there are any concerns or needs they are ready to help right away. It's a gorgeous cottage and literally just yards to the clear crystal blue ocean. It was even closer than we had envisioned. The beach is plenty big enough to enjoy the entire stay. The water is easy to get to and has nothing but smooth flat rocks and soft sand. The beach is appropriate for children, adults, and older folks like ourselves. Oceans has plenty of beach supplies including snorkel gear, folding chairs, a portable umbrella. The view from the deck is the highlight if I had to choose the very best thing. Gorgeous. Just some things I learned which may help you. First, the bus is cheap, right there, passes about every 5 mins, and runs til about 1am. We love it there and would love to come back.

Relaxing

We absolutely loved it here, clean, tidy & everything you needed for a relaxing holiday. Host Debbie is a lovely lady & nothing is ever to much trouble. Location was fab, there were a few local bars a few minutes walk away so got to try local food & hangout with the locals which we loved. There are also a couple of newer restaurants/ bars close by which were very nice too. Thank you Debbie, I’m sure will return one day soon x

Great beach cottage

Close to local stores , restaurants and beaches. Bus stops right outside. There is some road noise but that is to be expected living right in town. The host/ owners were always available if needed. The patio was where we basically lived the whole time when we were not out and about. A very relaxing area for morning coffee or evening cocktails. Would definitely recommend if you enjoy renting anywhere locally and exploring on your own.

Wonderful Stay

My friend and I enjoyed our stay very much. Villa is very well equipped with lots of towels, a welcome basket of essential grocery items including the best rum punch around :) A very nice touch after a long travel day. Villa is very easy to catch the bus from in both directions and a supermarket is just a block away. Beautiful sunsets can be enjoyed on the beach chairs in front. You can walk on the beach in both directions when low tide. Absolutely wonderful stay - we loved the decorated tree beside the "Life is better at the beach" wall decoration as it is so true. Family Holiday

Oceans Beach House is in a perfect location for swimming and snorkelling, which our family of three enjoy. My husband swam with a turtle, which we saw most mornings and afternoons and I saw many colourful fish including a Parrot Fish. The house is equipped with beach chairs, snorkelling gear and plenty of beach towels. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise especially the homemade Rum Punch, the best I tasted on the island (thank you Debbie for replacing this when I ran out). We loved sitting on the decking watching the birds including a humming bird and the boats sail by in the morning and afternoon. We spent 5 of our 13 days holiday on the South Coast (St Lawrence Gap) but couldn't swim in the sea due to the Sea Weed and rough waters, so couldn't wait to get back to "Oceans Beach House" to end the last few days of our holiday relaxing and snorkelling. Beach College Vibs

This beach cottage is great for those wanting to immerse themselves in Bajan culture. Located 3 blocks away is the only supermarket between Fitts and Holetown or Fitts and Bridgetown. This is convenient for when you can't or won't go out for dinner. Right across the street from the store is Il Tempio restaurant, with great food and friendly staff. You can even set up a tour with their neighbor, Dave, who runs Westend Taxi Service. Wendy's, a rum bar, was closed for a month during our stay, but it comes highly recommended. The one drawback is the location. As it is on the main drag to just about everywhere, the noise from traffic can be pretty loud. Oddly, the noise seems louder in the cottage than on the patio or the beach deck. But honestly, the noise didn't bother me after the first day. When inside, I turned on the TV and the traffic became like white noise. I couldn't hear the traffic from the downstairs bedroom at night, and my son said he couldn't hear the noise from the loft bedroom either. The island has just so much to do. We took a spin on the infamous yellow bus, but once was enough. The blue buses are perhaps a bit safer. We took an island tour and went all over the island. The Monkey Reserve and snorkeling in Bridgetown were our favorites. Just beware of Cherry Hill Reserve. There are a lot of talented artists up there who only take cash, and a gentleman who will sell you a coconut for 10.00 US dollars. Don't assume his offer is part of the tour! Debbie was the best hostess! The fridge was stocked with food for what amounted to three days of breakfast. She offered so much helpful advice and she was so friendly and bubbly, I could talk to her all day. This place is a real gem.

Paradise by the sea

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay at Oceans!!! The porch facing the sea with a hammock and great view was the highlight and the upstairs bedroom was spectacular!!! We were there for only 7 days…way too short!! We can’t wait to come back for a much longer stay. Debbie was so friendly and a great hostess, and made the best rum punch I’ve ever had!!!

Unbelievable stay and experience

The home was incredible with all the amenities would could ask for. It was so close to stores and other attractions and the host Debbie was SO informative and helpful. I recommend everyone experience this property.

Secluded in the centre

The space in this villa is luxurious. It balances socialising with privacy perfectly. My 17 yr old son loved the luxury of the top floor and we loved downstairs as our haven from the heat. The sun deck on the shore is a huge advantage over other properties along this coast. Sitting watching the sun set while the sea crashes in front of you is the perfect therapy. Hearing the yellow buses go by made us smile as they are the character of the island. You can signal one from the gate and jump off at Massey's for their amazing fresh bakery. We wandered to Jordan's, to Wendy's sports bar and to Il Tempio, just minutes away. Debbie, Brian and family are expert hosts who really care. They've thought of everything, the mass of ice cubes to the rechargeable bug bat which became a sport. This villa gave us an unforgettable experience which I hope to repeat many more times. #hooked
