About this property

A quiet and cosy rental in the town centre with views over the sea

Large studio in the historic district of Propriano, very quiet because it’s set back from the high street and pedestrian zone, with breathtaking views of the sea and mountains, and just a 2-minute walk to Mancinu Beach and the main water sports activities (sailing, diving, boat tours, motorboat rentals), terraces and cafés in the town centre, and all shops.
Don’t hesitate to contact me so I can tell you even more about our region. See you very soon.

The Gulf of Valinco: Propriano is located in the heart of the Gulf of Valinco. The Gulf of Valinco is one of the deepest gulfs in Corsica, equidistant from Ajaccio, Bonifacio, and Porto Vecchio (about 1 hour and 15 minutes) and the wonderful Alta Rocca region with the Bavella Pass (Col de Bavella) for mountain lovers. The perfect starting point for exploring the entire southern part of Corsica. The town offers every conceivable activity and recreational pursuit (boat or catamaran excursions, small speedboats, sailing school, scuba diving, jet skiing, ATVs, parasailing, tubing, horseback riding, tennis courts, and skydiving; an airfield for ultralights; canoeing; and hiking.
The numerous beaches and coves of the Gulf of Valinco will enchant you with their diversity. The fine sand of Campomoro, the wild coves of Belvedère, the large beach of Cupababia, and dozens of other beaches and coves await you... For lovers of prehistoric sites: Filitosa, Cauria...

Gastronomy: The region offers authentic, local products
Cured meats: Coppa, Lonzo, Pancetta, Saucisson (and Figatelli: only in winter)
The wines of Sartenais Valinco: Saparale, San Armettu, Pratavone, Fiumucicoli...
Olive oil, goat and sheep cheeses, and the famous Bruccio: produced from December through May/June.
Pastries: Ambrucciata, doughnuts with Bruccio or plain, Canistrelli...
Jams: made from strawberry tree fruit, figs, oranges, candied lemon; honeys from the Corsican maquis; essential oils from maquis flowers, especially the very famous “Immortelle” (the everlasting flower).
Fish from the Gulf, caught by fishermen from Propriano: sea bream, blenny, capon, lous, mullet, sardines, dentex, bonito, etc.... and, of course, not to be forgotten, the delicious Mediterranean lobster.
Here you have a choice: the restaurants in the small villages a few kilometres from Propriano.

Boat trips: A new way to explore the coastline of the Gulf of Valinco and the entire hinterland; some coves are invisible from the shore and inaccessible. Discover the incredible rock formations, the wild rocky coves, the numerous birds, and sometimes even dolphins come to visit.... Swim in the Mediterranean and listen to music in the sun.
Aboard a speedboat or catamaran for excursions. A fun time is guaranteed.

Great location. Beautiful town.

For some reason my host and I could not communicate by telephone, but she was very accommodating when I finally made contact and came to meet us at 01.30. The apartment was simple, clean and ideally situated. Perfect for our needs. Would recommend and would definitely stay again.
