Whale Hale is a spacious 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath home proudly perched on the bluff above Queens Bath in Princeville, Kauai' where you can see and hear the ocean. From the grand entry staircase to the family friendly living rooms and game room this home was designed to suit large parties or intimate gatherings. This 3,800 square foot home has gorgeous views from every window. It's a short hike down to the Queens Bath where you can swim in a natural ocean pool (summer months). There are views of the golf course and ocean views on 3 sides of the house!

Three bedrooms have a private en-suite bathroom. This home is stylishly furnished and every effort has been made to accommodate your needs. We've even included beach towels, beach chairs and snorkel gear for use during your stay.

The upstairs area includes a full service kitchen with a gas cooktop plus another full electric range, two dishwashers and a large pantry. A center island provides plenty of work surface for multiple cooks in the kitchen. And there are granite countertops throughout. The enormous open plan airy room has a vaulted ceiling. Additionally there is a game room for loads of indoor fun.

One of the bedrooms is upstairs with an ensuite bathroom and views of the mountains, golf course, and ocean. This room has a Queen bed.

The other four bedrooms are on the ground level. They comprise 2 master suites and two bedrooms with 2 single beds each. These single rooms can be converted to Kings for a fee of $150 per bedroom. The single bedrooms have a separate guest bath to share. One of the master suites looks like a small studio with a private sitting area.

Outdoor amenities allow you to enjoy our amazing Kauai weather and views. In the back yard, facing the ocean, is a free standing spa pool with jets that can accommodate up to 10 people. There are sitting areas on all 3 decks with an outdoor living sofa set on the back lanai overlooking the ocean. The large front deck boasts views of the golf course and beach and includes a large dining table with oversized bistro umbrella. This is a perfect area to enjoy sunset cocktails and dinner. There is also a ping pong table in the garage which will allow for hours of fun - especially when we're having one of our tropical showers that keep the garden island green and lush.

You will be conveniently located in the community of Princeville. Within one and a half miles are two world class golf courses, several beaches, the Princeville Shopping Center and the St. Regis Princeville Resort with its amazing restaurants and beach. A short drive in either direction allows you to enjoy all that Hanalei Bay has to offer as well as surfing, diving, snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, horseback riding and helicopter tours.

Incredible home with wonderful ocean views off multiple back decks! Also had a really nice front deck for watching the sunset. Great location in Princeville very close to the entrance to the Queen's Bath trailhead. Neighborhood was quiet and very safe. The hot tub was especially fantastic and the house had everything you'd need and more (including yoga mats, beach items, hair dryers, and so much more). We loved our stay and would highly recommend this property!

We spent the first half of our Kauai trip in Poipu, then headed north to Princeville in early September with a extended family of 9 adults and 3 kids under 3. This home was the perfect fit for us—plenty of space, beautiful views, and a prime location close to Queen’s Bath. It did not disappoint!Tanya and her husband Isaac were absolutely fantastic—always available and incredibly supportive throughout our stay. Their hospitality really stood out and made everything easy.For families with little ones: the house does not provide baby items like pack & plays, high chairs, or gates, so I recommend reaching out to one of the local baby gear rental companies in advance. A gate at the top of the staircase is especially important with toddlers.The only downside for us was the lack of A/C, but you quickly learn to adapt and enjoy the island breezes. In exchange, you get unforgettable experiences—breakfast on the back deck with incredible sunrise views, and in the evenings, don’t miss the short walk across the road to the 7th hole of the Makai Golf Course for spectacular sunset photos.The north shore of Kauai is breathtaking, and this home gave us the perfect base to explore. Hanalei Bay and pier are a must, but we also loved Lumaha‘i Beach for the river rope swings and Anini Beach for easy snorkeling and turtle sightings.Overall, this was a wonderful stay in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. Highly recommend!

Special Graduates Vacation

Beautiful setting on the point. Not many places in the world where you can see the sunrise and sunset from the same house. Well stocked with essentials. Plenty of room for 9 of us. Great cross breeze through the house. So lovely to hear the periodic rain and many birds. It was a fantastic, well-earned getaway for our young adults. Memories they will never forget! Thank you. Absolutely gorgeous!

We had a fantastic time. The property manager was very kind and responsive. The home is absolutely perfect. A short walk across the street and you get the most amazing sunset view from the golf course overlooking the bay and the mountains. It was breathtaking. The waves sang us to sleep each night. We had a wonderful time just relaxing at the house, playing games and ending the day in the spa tub. We are already planning our next visit.

Fabulous family stay!!

Hideaways Beach was awesome and so convenient. We enjoyed stargazing at night and whale watching during the day on the back deck. Plenty of room for our multigenerational family,of 10. The house and surrounding area exceeded expectations, which were high.

As soon as you walk in, you know it’s a special place. The views are spectacular and the house was well stocked with everything a family may need. Just steps from Queen’s bath, which was such a treat for the kids to go and swim there in the mornings (make sure to only go in low tide!). Staying here made for an unforgettable vacation. Will always remember watching the sunrise from the gorgeous lanai.

Beautiful home on a beautiful island

There were 8 of us at Whale Hale and we all had such an amazing time. The kids loved the swim spa and the air hockey table. The breeze from the tradewinds felt so good. The beds were comfortable. I loved grilling with a view of Hanalei and the gorgeous purple sunset. Everything about the house was perfect. 10/10 would recommend and would absolutely stay again!

Great views! Well stocked kitchen and baths… plenty of space for all of us. Hot tub was working marginally- could only use it a couple nights. But loved the sunrises and sunsets on the patios, and meals on the front porch overlooking Bali Hai was spectacular.

Beautiful house & views

This house acrually surpassed our expectations …which never happens in rentals. The views were beyond amazing and the house itself in pristine conditions. I really enjoyed the lack of clutter throughout that you often see in VRBO properties. It was clean, neat & updated. Also the beach chairs, towels, coolers, etc were a nice add. Did I mention the 12 person hot tub????

Overall communications and property were stellar. Our combined family’s group of nine never felt crowded, ample space for all and the location allowed us to have morning outings, regroup and head back out for remainder of the day which included sunsets every evening Spectacular views from both sides of the house provided sunrise and sunset vistas! Spacious and well appointed, even had 2 washers and dryers- a great feature. Overall, highly recommend this property - only callout was the hot tub, couldn’t get jets or lights to turn on but never reached out to property manager as it was our very last evening but not a deal breaker— fantastic stay!

Perfect family vacation

We had seen pictures of this house online, but when we walked in we were still amazed. It's absolutely stunning, and the views are breathtaking. We loved sitting on the lanais, drinking coffee, and relaxing. We also enjoyed the pool, air hockey and ping pong tables. There were 5 adults and 4 children in our group and these were things we could all do together. Thank you for sharing your spacious and beautiful home with us.
