Comfortable and Spacious Room

A beautiful and spacious room that was quite comfortable. Odd front desk hours but it wasn’t an issue for us. Additionally there was no elevator, but luckily our luggage was light and room on the first floor. Was also in a very convenient location. Would definitely stay here again.

Great little hotel in a great location

The hotel is really nice, clean and comfy. Breakfast was continental only, but really tasty and saved me from trying, and failing, not to eat a fry up every day. Only downside to some could be the lack of a lift, it wasn’t a problem for any of my team that visited at the same time. Situated near the main shopping area of new town and approx 15 mins to the sights of old town. I would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay again on my next visit

Attic room in Prague

We stayed in the attic room. The access is through a steep and narrow spiral staircase so not suitable for travellers with difficulties climbing stairs. The room was spacious and clean although the ceiling was low in certain areas. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good with delicious bread, variety of ham and cheese, youghurt and fresh fruit. We walked to all the major attractions but the hotel is also close to public transport

A little outdated, but reasonably pleasant

Impressive, large room (we went for the deluxe room) with sofas for putting your feet up after a long day walking around Prague. Unfortunately a little behind the times in the bathroom... the shower was particularly poor. No A/C in the room, but a fan was provided. The bed was large but not particularly comfortable... a foam mattress and a formless, floppy pillow. Breakfast was included, but no hot food available. Not really suitable for business travel, more for families, couples or travellers.

I wouldn't stay again, no front desk person

No hotel. So I had to walk up 3 flights of stairs, I'm 6'2 and I would hit my head on the door ways in the room and in the stair well. No real front desk person so don't expect a late check in, they give you a key for the front door to the hotel. If you lose it. Your screwed because nobody is ever at the front desk. Creepy place to walk in late at night as well. All the lights are off. Just overall not a great place to stay.

A very nice place

A very nice place, close to everything. The room was charmy, very clean and spacious for 4 people.The guy at the front desk offered to keep our suitcases and had a room ready 1 hr before the actual check in time. We enjoyed our stay. The only advise , if you are arriving late, make sure they know you are coming . Most of the time , the front door is locked and you need a key to get inside the building .

Lovely little hotel

Lovely hotel, rooms are in great condition. Centrally located, only 5 min walk away from Tesco which was very convenient. The only parts I would improve are 1) including a lift in the hotel. Walking 4 flights of stairs every day got very tiring! 2) air con required - room was too hot despite the standalone fan. Otherwise, would definitely recommend and happily stay here again!

Quaint hotel in Old Town

Family trip. Rudolph, one of the inkeepers, was very, very nice and helpful. Very clean and unique hotel - former convent. Awesome architecture. Only downfalls is no elevator and rooms that face the street and very noisy - bar is downstairs. Ceiling fan in room would help aleviate noise. Really felt like a taste of Prague. Much better than a big hotel if you like getting the flavor of a city.

Good, would stay again.

Location was fantastic, just off the old town square. There was no reception, but the receptionist was helpful. Only downside was that early check in was not allowed - but this is ok as we arrived in the morning and were allowed to store our luggages. The room was huge and good for a family. And could accomodate up to 5 people easily. Bathroom lacked a hairdryer but towels were provided. Very clean and comfortable. Heaters were not so strong so the room was a little cold at night.

A Great Value!

Overall, we were very pleased with our experience at Hotel U Suteru. The location is a comfortable walking distance to all of the main sites in Prague and the hotel itself offers a romantic old world feeling. Our room was very clean and comfortable with the exception that our double bed was actually two twin beds pushed together. The staff was helpful and the breakfast buffet offered a satisfying spread. We would stay here again - it's a great value for the price.

Hotel is in a good location. Close to tram line. Not so far from main train station. There is no lift, had to carry luggage all the way to third floor. Generally ok.
