I came to PR for a school trip. The lobby smelled like smoke, the room was musky and stale I had to buy an Air freshener, bedding looked questionable and the neighbors were stomping and slamming doors late into the night. Out drinking and smoking in front of their room. I genuinely felt unsafe. The coffee was tolerable. Luckily I was exhausted and I was able to drown some of the sounds out with the AC machine…

Arrived at the hotel at 8 pm to check in and no one at the front desk. There was a sign set up to call. Finally had someone greet me and given the keys. Went to the room which was unlocked and dark, which didn’t feel safe. When I assessed the room, there were people’s hair on the floor, the fridge was leaking and smelled bad. I went back to the desk and you guessed it…had to call the number for help. I was given another unlocked, dark room but this time the fridge was filled with someone else’s old pizza and yogurt. Gross. On top of that there were people sleep in their cars in the parking lot right outside our room. I don’t know if they were unhoused or what? We came home on afternoon to find the hotel room unlocked with our stuff in it. I’m not sure if housekeeping went in and had trouble with the lock or forgot? We definitely locked the door when we left that morning. Also when I asked for fresh towels one of the days the front desk person replied “well we’ll have to turn on laundry” to which I replied “that would be great.” We stayed three nights (unfortunately) and actually extended our trip in the city. After all this we decided to take our business to a different hotel instead. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone and certainly will never be staying here again.

When I arrived the front door staff wasnt there so I called the number and she told me to wait 10 minutes. When i got into the suite it smelled musty. The window was wide open and it was freezing cold in there. There is no heat in the washroom and was freezing cold.

There was two fridges neither worked. The TV didn't work. Weird smell. Everything was old. Nicely painted. Got there at 7. It was a challenge finding the front desk clerk. We had to phone her and my phone wouldn't disconnect from the car. We left at 5 o'clock the night before our checkout time.

The location was very convenient. There’s a couple restaurants nearby. The room was clean and comfortable. The only thing I didn’t like was the wood floors I prefer rooms with carpet.

We arrived to check in at close to 9pm, and there was no one at the check in counter, no big deal she arrived a couple of minutes later. We checked in she gave us our room key, we walked to our room and the door was wide open, the window was wide open, and the heat was off. Now if it was mid summer, probably not a big deal, but it was November 14, and it was 9° outside. Went in the room and cranked the heat up, only to discover that there was a sticky wet spill on the floor near the one bed and a stained top cover on the other. It was late, and we were tired, so decided to just suck it up and get ready for bed. It took until 1 am for the room to warm up enough to take off our hoodies and not feel cold. Not the best experience, I will not stay there again when we return. That is for sure! However, GRANADA restaurant that shares the property was amazing! Highly recommended. Stay at the hotel across the street and eat at GRANADA!
