I love old buildings and this is an old building and it has so much character and charm. The high ceilings, the windows I could open to hear the creek running, the patio overlooking the creek, the Clean lawns, the friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again.

Very happy with our stay. Place was clean surrounding area was good (love the sound of rushing water outside the hotel courtesy of the falls!), and it's rare to find a place that includes bacon and eggs as part of its complimentary breakfast.

The hotel was serviceable but I was in the sort of annex building, which didn’t feel very secure. The front door was broken so that you don’t need a key to enter, and the windows to my first floor room do not lock. I was only staying one night but would have hesitated to stay there multiple nights for that reason.

The staff was very helpful and upgraded us. The rooms are outdated and need to be upgraded. A/C didn’t work really well-Just ok. Breakfast was not great…fair eggs and bacon. Not many choices, just very basic.

Room was clean, however a few things to note - Furniture is a little dated and due for update. Tub was fine although it needs to be slip proofed for those of us who are seniors and need to be extra careful about falls ( definitely a potential liability issue for hotel). Breakfast was good and water view was a bonus. Overall, it was a charming place ( albeit older), off the beaten path of hotel row along Route 9 in Poughkeepsie.

I knew it was an older property, and we chose it solely for its location to our family members. Our room was not in great shape- stains on walls, cracks on ceilings, fixtures (outlets, toilet paper holder, etc) not fully secured to walls. Towels had holes in them. WiFi wasn’t the best. I did not complain to staff and I would stay here again only because it is a great location. I just thought of it as a camping trip. The A/C did work great in the room, especially with it being overly hot for this region of the country.

This is actually a beautiful building. The rooms of especially the bathrooms that they are advertising with Jacuzzi tubs are extremely overdue for renovation. There is paint and tile chipping all over the place in the bathroom and Jacuzzi tub. The sheets had those are yellow stains on them if you know what I’m talking about it looks good from the outside. It’s a different world on the inside.
