Very nice hotel with a fantastic location. Their web site does not give them the credit they deserve for the quality of the accomodation and perfect location. Rooms are small but everything is made with quality materials and fixtures. I recommend this hotel.

The bathrooms left a lot to be desired. Gym is literally in an entirely different building. We also asked for a cab to be called to get back to the train station and it was literally 2x what it cost to get there.

A beautiful and luxurious hotel over looking picturesque Portovenere harbour. Staff were friendly and service was excellent. Amazing buffet breakfast, meals and bar. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Highly recommend this hotel to use as your base to explore Cinque Terre region. You can access the villages by ferry from front of hotel or by train from La Spezia.

Hotel and staff were excellent, parking under the Hotel. Everything in town was walkable, sone very nice some completely rude to us being American. Would not let that reflect at all on the hotel or location, we had a deck with a beautiful view of town and the small marina.

World Class Hotel

Portovenere was a pleasant surprise from start to finish. The city is charming, but we wouldn't have enjoyed it as much if we hadn't stayed at the Grand Hotel Portovenere. The hotel is magnificent, the breakfast is great, the bar-restaurant is delicious and has great views. But the best thing was the kindness of its people: at reception, in the restaurant, the luggage service and cleaning staff. All outstanding. We immensely enjoyed the Beach Club affiliated with the hotel and the yacht with which we went for a ride during the sunset. Congratulations sincerely for having a world class hotel.
