A gem in Nova Vila da Gaia, easy access to Porto

A very modern and pleasant stay within the structure of the Holiday Inn in Nova Vila da Gaia. Even though it looks on a map like a ways out from Porto, it is not a long ride – about a €5 ride-share, which is more than made up for by the much greater value you get staying here vs. a hotel in Porto proper. The only downside is that the beds were not especially comfortable.

Breakfast was great especially the staff there and the one hotel receptionist Tatiana. She was lovely and so kind. There was a male receptionist in a suit with glasses who was quite rude and blunt (I almost cancelled our stay due to how he spoke to us) but once we dealt w Tatiana she was amazing.
