Breakfast was great especially the staff there and the one hotel receptionist Tatiana. She was lovely and so kind. There was a male receptionist in a suit with glasses who was quite rude and blunt (I almost cancelled our stay due to how he spoke to us) but once we dealt w Tatiana she was amazing. She was so busy and never stopped yet always so helpful and cheerful. Breakfast staff (everyone was incredible and so happy and kind especially to our kids who adored them).

A gem in Nova Vila da Gaia, easy access to Porto

A very modern and pleasant stay within the structure of the Holiday Inn in Nova Vila da Gaia. Even though it looks on a map like a ways out from Porto, it is not a long ride – about a €5 ride-share, which is more than made up for by the much greater value you get staying here vs. a hotel in Porto proper. The only downside is that the beds were not especially comfortable.

Terrible experience at this hotel. Outdated property. No AC for first day, they repaired but no AC in bedrooms for all days. Outdated Kitchen, no utensils(spoons/folks/others). No coffee machine in the room. Bathroom needs to be upgraded. Need to pay money a for coffee in the lobby and use of pool at the property.
