Well positioned to be close to all the action but not in the middle of all of the action which was perfect for us. Access to Yellow Bus tour bus stop 3. Right next to the beautiful Crystal Gardens. Wonderful restaurant in the hotel called Exuberant. We loved our stay in Porto!

Fantastic staff and food was outstanding.

This hotel was run extremely well. Staff were friendly and attentive and befitting of a 5* hotel. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was top class. We also used the rooftop pool which had great views but limited sun loungers on a busy day. However, there was additional seating around the bar area. Their chauffeur parking service was also very useful for us.

We had a very relaxing five days at the Altis, the staff were helpful, accessible and friendly throughout. The bottle of wine to welcome us was a lovely surprise. We made use of the excellent gym and spa facilities every day before hitting Porto. We loved the location and view of the Douro from our room - quiet but just a 15 minute walk into the centre or quayside.

The staff were nice and the hotel was clean and functional. The location was quiet and about 20 mins walk from the main areas. We felt more like 4 star than 5, but it served our purpose well Indoor pool no kids after noon. Outdoor pool and bar nice but small. Spa not really 5 star.

Overall Outstanding! We had a river view room which was a little disappointing as the trees in front were overgrown so the view was limited. The road in front can be busy at times when sat on the balcony but you can’t hear it when the door is shut
