I was really looking forward to staying here because the photos online looked beautiful, but my experience was extremely disappointing and, at times, genuinely unsafe.
Right when we arrived, we noticed a strong smell of gas in the building—especially in the basement parking area and continuing into the elevators and first floor. We reported it to the staff and were told they were aware of it, but they “didn’t know where it was coming from.” That alone was unsettling.
We also got stuck in one of the elevators twice and had to pry the doors open ourselves to get out. Clearly, the building is not being maintained properly.
The bathroom on our floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in some time. The ceiling had chipping paint and what appeared to be mold. The room itself felt old, musty, and worn—not at all like the polished presentation online.
One of the most concerning issues was the design of the sliding bathroom door. It overlaps with the closet door, so when one opens, the other closes. It’s very easy to get your fingers caught — and unfortunately, my partner did. He lost part of the tip of his finger and was bleeding. When we tried to call the front desk for basic first aid, the phone in the room didn’t even work.
We went downstairs to report what happened, and the response was incredibly disappointing. There was no apology, no sense of concern, and the manager was not available. The lack of care around a clear safety hazard
