Nice place

This was a charming hotel right across the street from the beach. The room was comfy and staff was great. The trains that run back and forth all night were unexpected and probably an issue with all "land side" hotels. Not the hotel's fault in the slightest but I wish I had known that there would be rumbling and horns at night.

Great location and clean room!

Small but clean room in a great location. The bathroom was large for the size of the room. The beach was just across the road and parking was right in front of the hotel.

The positives: the walk to the beach is short and the beach was beautiful. However, we did not realize that half of Old Orchard shuts before Columbus Day so not a lot of restaurant choices. The hotel is bare minimum - no cleaning service. Our room could have down with a good clean or at least the dirty marks washed off the toilet door and frame. We rented three rooms and all of them had marks on the bathroom wall and door. The bathroom door was very creaky so woke up. However, the road is full of flood lights that do not get switched off so the room was light and the people coming out of bars were very loud and drunk so if a light sleeper they were annoying. The biggest kicker was the freight train and Amtrak service that runs right behind the hotel and runs through the night - these trains shake the whole building. Therefore, a good hotel if you like closeness to a beach but if you enjoy your sleep then this one is not for you!

I liked that the beach was so easy to walk to. We were across the main road. However I did not know my hotel was so close and parallel to train tracks. When the trains went by frequently at all hours of the day and night it shook my bed and the room. It felt like an earth quake and ruined my sleep. I was on the second floor and I don't know if that happens on the first floor. Bathroom was kind of dumpy and needed paint as molding was missing .

Room was not as expected from pictures. There was no closet, no bedside table. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Bathroom was very clean and well kept. Access to the beach was convenient and very easy. Beach was great.

Was interesting that the bathroom sink was next to the bed and that the bathroom was in the middle of the hotel room, it separated the room from the living room space. Was only 3 channels to choose from because they didn’t have cable and could not connect to any streaming services.

Owners and staff were very kind great location if you don't mind a 7 minute walk to to where most of the shops and food are. Great access to the beach. Bed wasn't very plus size friendly. Clean room though.

Right next to train track

I'm very confused by all of the reviews but maybe we just weren't there long enough to really appreciate it. You are right next to a very loud train track that shook the entire bed, throughout the night every time I train went by. The room was extremely small. The stairs were difficult to manage with luggage. The whole situation was just very awkward.

Property was very clean. It was convenient for walking everywhere. The room was a lot smaller than anticipated, but very clean! There is also noise from the train. I would absolutely go back to this hotel!!

Perfect inn for groups of any size! We had 20!

We had a family reunion of 20 people and this inn provded the perfect spaces for all of is to spend time together! We all spent time on patio on the outdoor furniture and on the picnics tables while we prepared family meals on the inn's grill and pizza oven. The owners and staff were great, the inn was clean, and the pool was perfect. Beach, shops and food options all within short walking distance.
